  • Oh No! My letter is dated 22 September, so I could be looking at November/December for my £1349 ?? I called them this morning and they cannot tell me when they plan to pay this to me, I also requested a cheque instead of a BACS but they said no (because I no longer bank with Lloyds but apparently my account is still 'active'

    Oodly enough, when I got my letter, I called up asking whether I could have my payment via BACS, as my primary account is still with Lloyds, and, from my experience being a Bank Charges handler, cheques are normally given out if the customer no longer banks with (in this case) Lloyds. I was told no, when I brought up the point that it is unreasonable to delay payments by several weeks, and then expect people to wait another 5 days for the cheque to clear when it makes much more sense to pay out via BACS, I was then told that if I went for BACS, I would be put "to the back of the queue, and you will have to wait even longer".

    I am sick of the misinformation, and the promised call backs never materialising :mad:
  • Just rang the above number and got through relatively quick bout 10 mins.
    The man who i spoke to Ian was really nice and said he was goin to send off a priority email and i'm to ring back later in the week thurs/fri.
  • Thanks Nutty, guess I will wait for it to be paid into my old Lloyds account and then try to transfer it across to Santander (my current account) however I left my old Lloyds account £1000 overdrawn so they probably wont let me have £1000 of it back, Oh well it clears the O/D atleast, glass half full :j

    I spoke to Helen in bridgend and she was doing the same so told me to ring back on wed so they can check what's happening. I'll let you know what happens on Weds what happens. So sick of it now.
  • Hmm I'm contemplating getting on the blower again, I was told that I can have the money paid into my HSBC account which is contrary to what everyone here seems to have been told. Do I call and check? But the horrid hold music.... :eek:
    SPC = £15.54 #1413
    £2 challenge = £22
    DEBT =

    Yes, the curse of Dido returns! :mad:
  • Just had a call back from the advisor who i spoke to this morning. She was acutely very helpful, most helpful advisor out off the whole lot. (and was very surprised to get a call back from her). She spoke to the manager who is dealing with it, the manager has sent a email to a manager in the refunds team to get this payment sorted as a matter off priority. I am to call back again mid week to see what is happening. Does sound very promising but not holding my breath tho.

    Do you know if he meant acceptance letters dated for 15th-17thAugust or calculations letters??

    This is the thing, I never received an acceptence letter, he did say that the letters/processes kept changing, and it was nigh on impossible to keep up to date - but he did say that as mine was dated the 19th, it should be done before the end of this week.

    As my letter made no mention of an acceptence form (only to call if you don't agree with the offer) - in my experience, some case handlers would keep a template of a letter, and not update it, I had one colleague who kept using an old template when I was handling bank charge complaints, and a lot fo the speil was out of date (such as telephone numbers, new additions to be added etc) - his work kept getting batted back by QA, so some people might be getting letters which were created by an out of date template. It's the only reason I can think of for the inconsistent letters.
  • Hi

    I received a letter dated 31.08.11 asking me to send my acceptance letter back, and they said they would be paying me via a cheque. Week later I received the figures and a letter saying I did not have to do anything and they would be paying it directly into my bank account. So not sure what they are going to do.

    However, I have just had a ppi repayment from my Lloyds cc which went through the FOS, they paid direct into my bank on 24 August, which was exactly 2 weeks after they sent me my calculations and they said they would pay that directly into my bank, which they did.
