I received a letter dated 31.08.11 asking me to send my acceptance letter back, and they said they would be paying me via a cheque. Week later I received the figures and a letter saying I did not have to do anything and they would be paying it directly into my bank account. So not sure what they are going to do.
However, I have just had a ppi repayment from my Lloyds cc which went through the FOS, they paid direct into my bank on 24 August, which was exactly 2 weeks after they sent me my calculations and they said they would pay that directly into my bank, which they did.

My letter was dated 27/0811, they had my acceptance on 05/09/11 and I haven't even had the calculations yet.
They keep telling me everything is being dealt with in date order yet keep reading that people later than me have had their calculations and even payments.
Lloyds really are a joke.0 -
Hi all,
I received my refund letter on 02 August, interest was dated to 24th August so I was expecting payment around that date. Nothing was mentioned about an acceptance letter though? I have checked my bank account daily and nothing yet! I have phoned many times and at first they were saying that they were about 2-3 weeks behind, it's now been 5 weeks. Now no-one wants to give any idea as to when payments will be made, and just say keep checking your bank account. Nobody wants to commit themselves. Lloyds do not know what they are doing! Phoned again yesterday and they said they would send an e-mail to the refund team and to phone again Weds to see if there has been any response! I'm thinking that was just a fob-off to get me off their back, it also makes me wonder if they are trying to find a way out of paying us! Good Luck all. :mad:He who asks is a fool for five minutes, He who does not ask is a fool for life.0 -
Hi Folks
I am reading all the threads about the Lloyds acceptance letters and customer back up service. I received the acceptance letters in August along with my hubbie's sent them off and they were received two days later. Phoned two weeks later to be told a payment in 28 days not happened. Husband phoned was told 21 days not happened. Phoned last Friday was told a few weeks now. I said to the advisor that they were well out of the 16 weeks to complete the claim and was advised that it was 16 weeks to send the acceptance letters, and I am now waiting for calculation letters they are going a bit far now is this something Watch Dog could assist with.
You would not mind but there is no straight answer and as we know if it was the boot on the other foot they would not be off the phone ither. :money:0 -
Lloyds TSB are - as usual - really pushing their luck with this.
They owe me several hundred pounds and it will take them 8 weeks to send me the cheque. Yet, whenever I go £0.05 overdrawn, a letter drops on my doorstep the very next day. It's a joke.
I am annoyed at having ran up over £10 on my phone bill due to Lloyds TSB's incompetence. They told me I would receive a response to my complaint within 16 weeks. I hadn't. I had to spend 40 minutes on hold to them, at a cost of £7-odd, to pursue this.
Then, I received a letter saying the refund would be paid but it would be used to clear any debts I have with them. It said if I didn't want this to happen to tick the box but then it also said if I didn't want this to happen, to phone them. I spent 15 minutes on hold, at a cost of £3-odd, to be told to simply tick the box. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT MYSELF.
I am really annoyed at having to waste an hour of my time because of their incompetence. That is bad enough. But being charged £10+ for the privilege is just downright unfair. My refund from Lloyds will be between £200 and £300, but if they're going to make a reasonable percentage of that back from these expensive phonecalls then it's not worth me claiming.
Surely I can claim back for these unnecessary and lengthy calls, which were only made as a result of Lloyds' incompetence? I know for £10 it isn't really worth it but I'd like to pursue this as a matter of principle.
Does anyone think I have a case and if so, how could I go about getting a refund of the cost of these calls?
Thanks0 -
Just got off the phone to Lloyds TSB, no Dido music for me. I called the 01733 347007 number listed on saynoto0870 for telephone banking. So I had 15 minutes of the phone ringing and the woman cutting in telling me how my call was important to them. (From working in a call centre I know they have targets for how many calls get dropped, so if I ring off it hits their target wohaha).
Anyway, I phoned them last on the 7th September and requested payment into my HSBC bank account. This means my payment has gone to the back of the queue grrr. But I should be expecting it about the 6th October according to the nice man on the phone. But he said that it's likely to take longer. However, if it goes past this date I get an extra months interest.
So fingers crossed it turns up in time for Christmas then.SPC = £15.54 #1413

and good idea to use the 01733 347 007 number rather than the 0870 nice tip!:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

stick the kettle on and try to stay calm
I can understand how frustrating this is for you, id try to give them a little more time and try using 01733 347 007 if you need to speak to them again as this will be cheaper for you
If you feel wronged (again by them) write them a letter and explain all this to them and the time and cost of the call, you never know they may add this to your complaint.:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

I emailed them a copy of my online bill because my calls had totalled £25 due to the misinformation by their staff. They have sent me a cheque for £25 so I would email them with details of how you were misinformed as well as copies of your bill and see how you get on.
I would also cc the CEO in as well, normally helps in getting a response.0 -
I have also in an email reply to their customer care team sent a link to this forum as the last reply I had from them stated that there is very few cases of people being misadvised so thought this site may make interesting reading for them.0
