There are quite big backlogs. So be prepared for a bit of a wait. I received my letter was 10 weeks ago and still waiting for payment :-(

Which letter did you get 10 weeks ago? The initial letter saying you would be refunded, or your calculations?

I had my initial one on 22 Aug. and calculations mid Sept. Still waiting.....

Even the lady in the bank I spoke to today about a credit card (who was very nice and very helpful - there's at least one good apple in the LTSB bin) asked "If they sent you a letter giving the amount, why didn't they just pop a cheque in the envelope with the letter?" Why indeed???
  • It was the letter with how much I would be receiving and said only ring if not accepting. Dated 25th July!!

    That's NOT funny.
  • It certainly isn't funny! Although I wouldn't have minded if they told me it could take 3months to receive payment in the 1st place, instead telling people it would be 21 days, 28 days etc etc.
Been told I'm on priority spreadsheet so to expect payment in 7-10 working days now!!

Well, good luck with it. Please post if you get your cheque.

Perhaps if we all post our progress on this thread, we can try and figure out where LTSB are with their progress on sending cheques, even if they don't seem to know themselves.

Offer letter dated 02 August, interest calc up until 24th Aug, I've been phoning every week still getting nowhere. Woman from LTSB current A/C phoned yesterday saying they would close my account cos I was £170.00 over my limit, I explained I was waiting for my £6K refund from PPI, she said it's got nothing to do with it, so I had to make a payment or the refund would probably end up in cyber space! She also said "why don't you phone them to find out when I should expect payment" HA HA!
In the meantime the reclaim company I used (waste of space) are demanding 25% plus VAT @ 20%, is that right? can they charge VAT on compensation? and they want it within 7 days HO HO!
Any one else experienced this? :(
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, He who does not ask is a fool for life. ;)

Beg, steal and borrow to get it back within your limit. If only to stop them from taking your money in charges.
There are many tales of woe about claim companies, such a shame when all it took was 3 letters and some waiting for most people to diy ppi refunds.

    Hope you get it sorted.

Still waiting myself, 2 days then they have to recalculate the interest for an extra month... we'll see.
    SPC = £15.54 #1413
    £2 challenge = £22
    DEBT =
    [STRIKE]£5030[/STRIKE] £4488.50 (10%)

Hi there, tell the claims company they will get paid when you get your redress, also tell them you will complain to these

    http://www.justice.gov.uk/global/contacts/claims-management-regulation/index.htm

AND THEY WILL GET PAID WHEN YOU GET PAID :p

The vat is legal, they have to charge this.

Do you get the interest for the extra time you have to wait? Mine was calculated to 22nd August
