I did not BOMBARD them with emails only sent 2, complaining about how long the process was taking. It seems most other people have done the same. I have waited patiently for nearly 7 weeks and only rang PPI line yesterday to see if they had any further news for me, to be told it would be another 6 weeks. If they had competent people answering the phones there would be no need to email anyone higher up!!
I think the ones who are doing nothing are getting left behind because Lloyds think there not in a hurry to get their money. I was more annoyed cos i was still paying the premiums and they wouldnt let me stop them.

Sorry, let me clarify - that wasn't aimed at you (that's why I didnt quote), just in general. I understand still paying premiums is a ridiculous situation whilst waiting for them to get their act together. However - using you as an example - you might have had to wait 7 weeks because impatient people had been bumped up the list?

Lloyds are swamped (with a problem of their own making), they probably have set procedures and systems in place, but of course if people start emailing anyone in power repeatedly (not a dig at you milky) then they no doubt will be looked at quicker - throwing the system into chaos. Someone said they had been paid 4 out of 5 claims recently and they had rung up to ask about the 5th to be told "no payments have been made on our system"; maybe because someone higher up the chain had intervened after being pestered?

What we need is someone like Martin, or Watchdog, etc etc, to present the problem and get a clear and definitive answer; ie "cases are being dealt with in X order. From now on no-one will be given priority from ringing up blah blah and you WILL get your refund XX weeks after your letter" But I suspect some people think "I've got my money, I'm alright Jack!"

I got my offer mid July and STILL waiting......much as I am happy your claim has been resolved Milkyshake, I am getting extremely peeved that people who got offer letters etc AFTER mine, are getting paid while I am still waiting!!! I can see where you are coming from in wanting your money ASAP, so you mail who you need to, but like its been said in quote, my claim has obviously been back-squadded so people who complain to higher levels get paid sooner then those of us who are not so happily or patiently waiting our turn. I am still paying my loan every month, and YES i am still paying PPI every month too Myself like everyone else waiting on their payouts, all want them as soon as too
    :-(

Just spoke to them on the phone, well a welsh lady. Didn't take any details but may have had them from all the prompts I had to put in. Just said that they have caught up with the backlog and cheques are flying out now. If i didn't receive the cheque within four weeks of the call then call back.

Similar to everyone else's phone-calls. Guess they have just been told to say similar/same things now.

I just emailed the above email address Sam.T put up. See if i get anywhere with that.
  • Was expecting a very long wait on this but very pleases with the quick turn a round. Details as follows

Sent first letter 12th August 2011
    Reply 19th August 2011
Offer letter received 23rd September 2011
    Cheque received today for £5434.23

I have not called them and only wrote my initial letter to them during this time.

As I said I was expecting a very long wait for payout but they have really surprised me. According to the comments in this thread there does not seem to be any order in paying out at all and although I am very pleased getting my payout so quickly I think it's unfair that people have been waiting a lot lot longer than me.

Good luck everyone who has a got an offer and here's hoping you all get payed out soon .
