    Blood Boiling AAAAARRRHHH!

    Update on my claim.

    Paid loan off in 2007

Made complaint via local branch/telephone in June 2011
Receive acknowlegment letter from Lloyds/Tsb August 12th
Phoned early Sept to see what was happening, told I would receive offer in the next couple of weeks.
Receive letter early Oct 2011 dated 22 Sept 2011 saying they would refund me £1438.52 plus interest of £557.06, Total £1995.58, if they don't hear from me by Oct 20th, they would close my complaint and pay direct into my currect account to resolve the matter as quick as possible!
Phoned Nov 5th to ask what was happening, spoke with a man there who said I would receive it in the next couple of weeks!
Like everyone else on MSE, spent days trying to get through on the phone.
On Dec 14th went into my local branch for their assistance in getting through to someone! Spoke with a Sarah, who said I would be getting payment shortly!
January 4th 2012 spoke with an Andrea to see where the money was or at least where the re-calculation was, who told me that they had worked out the re-calc and I would be getting a total of wait for it.....£1,325.75!!!! As you can happen I was not happy, so they put me onto a Wendy who said that she would look into it as there must be some mistake.
She then called me on the 6th Jan to say that she was still looking into it and had requested the complaints team to put me as a priority! Spoke to her again on the 9th who told me that a letter had already gone out. She did call me again on the 16th Jan to say that they were still looking into my case, I told her that I hadn't received any letter from them. Told her that I hadn't received any correspondence from Llloyds since the 22 Sept letter and I didn't want the re-calculation letter of 6th Jan - SO DON'T SEND IT OR RE_SEND IT! AS IT WOULD WIND ME UP!!
Low and behold on Saturday 21st Jan, I received said letter and it's dated 16th January!! Just spoke to an Adrian this morning who would look 'into it' and get Wendy to call me back, then cut me off.

My apologies for the long state of affairs but needed to sound off. Has anyone received a lower amount recalculation letter?

If anyone has got the address of the chief excutive plus BBC Watchdog/Money Box, then I will give them a try.
  • Thanks for your info Mattias, just interested to see if there is any sort of pattern to the whole mess.

I don't know if emailing and phoning speeds things up or if they chuck you back down the queue for mithering them......but people wouldn't feel the need to phone or email if they stuck to their word. Why bother calculating interest to a certain date only to not stick to it, it's just a delaying tactic to give them more time, and whilst this is going on people are left wondering!!!!!!!!!!

I am really going to consider moving banks, i opened an account with the halifax a few years ago and i tend to use that as my main account for salary and d/d but they are also now part of Lloyds so you can't escape them, i always thought better the devil you know, but not anymore.... Can anyone recommend a good bank that are not part of LLoyds?
  • Still nothing for me today either. Been waiting 9 weeks since offer letter

Bills to pay and no money to pay them with :(
  • I am not able to get through to the PPI Department!!!! God help them when i can get through as i have been trying since about 08:30ish so my blood id boiling......
  • 21 weeks after getting the original offer re: my credit card ppi and I have received a new offer letter. It's added on interest to the 13th Feb, I can't even be bothered to call as I end up so wound up by the end of it.

8 months since I originally sent off the questionnaires.

    Pathetic Lloyds. Pathetic.
  • If your trying to ring the PPI line and can not get through when selecting the current claim option try selecting new claim option. I will be trying again in a sec as my mum just go straight through when she was ringing.
  • Hiya

Please can someone give me some advice (I am new to this!)

I put a claim in over the phone with Lloyds on 6th December with a gentleman who did not speak very good English. He did however assure me that the claim would go through and I would hear something within 12 weeks.

I know it is a bit early but I recently emailed just to check everything was going through and I was definitely going to hear something in due course. They replied to me last week saying they had no record of my claim!! I have emailed back but no response from them as yet and every time I try and call the Customer Service number I end up being on hold for over 30 minutes by which time I give up as its expensive. Has anyone else had this problem?
  • I got my offer on 7th of december and ive received my cheque today.............. At blooming last.
Nov 2010 :1st win beauty box set of 3 worth £40 and a cushelle koala
Dec 2010: hair products by liz earle, 9 koalas:o

    Jan: Rimmel Mascara, No7 mascara

  • Hi there this is my first post. I received my first offer letter 3rd October but I have now received three updated interest letters and still no payment. Spoke to a man is the customer service department today who was the first one to give me honest responses and apology still hasn't got me anywhere but I'll keep trying. He stated that Lloyds had "breached" now as I've waited so long I reiterated I've heard this all before. He said he had sent an email to his manager who is the only one authorized to contact the payment department and the manager should.hear back within 10 working days! Absolutely appalling is there no way an epetition or large group can join together to apply pressure to a company clearly dragging their heals to reap interest to claw back some of there losses
  • @kayzie73 same friend, its very frustrating. If they had held their hands up when i initially called in dec along the lines of " mr mattias we've a really big amount of ppi claims to get through so you MAY be waiting a wee while" i wouldnt have went mental at xmas and tanked my money,
Though if i moan at lloyds they'll just say
"you shouldnt have been relying on it"

    Aaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh
