Do Lloyds deliberately keep you waiting on the phone for ten minutes in order to make money for themselves?
I've been waiting since the beginning of October for my PPI refund, and one of the letters said it will be solved as quickly as possible and it also said it will be paid into my account in 21 days. It's now the middle of December and still no sign of it. I rang loads of times to see when will it be solved and I must have only gotten through about two or three times, and every time it adds to the phone bill. When I EVENTUALLY got through they keep telling me there's a delay in processing payments, what delay? How long a delay do they need? So I've come on here to see if there's a way of speeding up the process, and by all acounts some of you are having the same problem. I've also noticed there's a post mentioning writing to your local MP, is that a possibility of speeding up the payment?
According to their calculations I'm in line for over £2600 - I was hoping it would be solved by Christmas, by the looks of it I won't see it till the New Year.0 -
The short answer is no.
My offer is dated 18 August 2011. It relates to an existing loan with PPI and my offer is over £7000. I am still waiting for my loan to be re-structured and for payment.
I have been watching this thread for several months now and whilst the people involved are constantly changing, the issues are pretty much the same. My views are as follows:
1. If your PPI relates to an existing loan with PPI on it then LTSB seem to be experiencing ridiculous problems processing these. Quite why this is is anyones guess.
2. Offer letters dated August and September (and some October) seem to be taking much longer to process than later ones. Again, why this is the case is unclear.
3. Constantly phoning the call centre achieves absolutely nothing. They are totally unable to help out or tell you when you will get your money.
4. Similarly, bombarding them with e-mails achieves little more than an automated standard response.
5. Getting your MP involved (IMO) achieves nothing. Some will argue otherwise, but I have seen more posts claiming that this has had no effect than posts that suggest that it does.
6. There appear to be a number of theories that you can be escalated from one spreadsheet to a different spreadsheet. I simply don't buy this at all.
If you want to save yourself a lot of hassle and avoid huge levels of stress, just sit on it. The money will come through eventually and making a fuss is likely to achieve nothing other than a sore head. Sorry this doesn't sound too positive but this seems to me to be the only sensible approach to these issues, and when LSTB isn't listening there isn't a lot that we can do to change that.0 -
