LloydsTSB PPI Payment
Comments

Hi
For once Lloyds actually told me the truth, sort of.
They told me 3 CHAPS payments had been made yesterday. It turned out to be 2 payments and was for £13,400, £300 more then they owed me.
Nearly had a heart attack when I saw my balance. Been £3,000 overdrawn for the last 2 years. Gonna make a start on paying everyone off, then might have a few pennies left for some xmas shopping.
Good luck all, hopefully the wheels are finally starting to turn.
Happy Xmas.0 -
Nearly fell off my chair! Don't get too excited, no money yet BUT-LTSB phoned ME!!!!! Wanted to confirm the A/C No and sort code etc that I wanted my money paid into, nice man said it will be in my account next week!!!!
My story goes:-
Put in claim in July 2010 yes TEN!
Offer letter 02/Aug/2011 for £6.5K
Changed payment method 04/Aug/2011
Been phoning PPI dept for 5 months to be told the usual bumph
Offered amount paid into Debt collections department on 22/Sept/2011 (un-beknown to me until 10/Dec/2011, I only get 6 monthly statements)
13/Dec/2011 I phoned and spoke to a manager and argued it was my money and it should have been paid to an account I CHOSE and not where LTSB decided it should go, she agreed and said she would contact the payments team.
Today got this phone call from them!!!!
Looks very promising but I've learnt not to get my hopes up with any insurance Co, or LTSB
So I've gone from a :mad::mad::mad: to a:(:( now maybe a :beer::beer::beer:
We'll see!!!!He who asks is a fool for five minutes, He who does not ask is a fool for life.0 -
just spoke to a very nice lady at lloyds who told me that my payment was escalated a couple of weeks ago, she couldnt tell me when it will be paid, only to ring back if not here early in the new year. So at least I know its unlikely this side of christmas. Im totally gutted guess I just gotta tighten my belt for a bit longer0

Success! My friend received £997.50, most of what is owed, into her Lloyds bank account yesterday.
We rang the PPI & loans depts and they said that the loan was being restructured and the rest (£713.40) should be paid "shortly" (no actual timescale - surprise, surprise - but they confirmed it would definitely go into her bank account.)
My friend has treated me to a nice lunch this afternoon to say thanks.

=========================
Brief history:
Friend took out three consecutive loans with PPI between July 2007 and November 2008, the last of which is still active.
We submitted the claim in Feb 2011.
We had an offer letter dated 25 Aug, saying £1,473.22 would be paid as quickly as possible by cheque. (Interest calculated up to 19 Sep)
After much chasing, apology letter received dated 23 Nov.
They then sent recalc letter dated 4 Dec, increasing amount to £1,710.90, stating that they have "issued payment instructions to the Personal Loan Centre to restructure your loan accordingly; any additional payment owed to you will be [paid into your Lloyds bank account.] This will be completed within the next 21 days." [it turns out that the money goes into the loan account so that calculations can be made, and then back out]0 -
Why are lloyds claiming the delays are for loans. Mine is a credit card with a ppi payment due of just over a £1000 . I had my confirmation on the 27/9/11 but have still received nothing. How hard is it to print a cheque??? Might send my goldfish to them he could probably do a better and quicker job0

Have you checked your loan online recently? Mine used to say that I had PPI on it but now that has been removed.
Still has same loan amount and payment so no movement yet on that front!0 -
I am in the same boat, payment accepted on the 21 oct for just over £2000 and still nothing. I also claimed back charges on my credit card and got £78 back which was paid arround 5 or 6 weeks ago with no problem. I phone up every other day and get the same crap, my fav is when they ask if you have checked your account today as it may be in. lol. Course i checked why else would i be calling. Really doing my nut in. The last guy i got said "i noticed you have called a lot and would advise you to stop calling and wait as it makes no difference how much you call". Think Llyods may be getting 1 less customer when all this is sorted.
ps. my brother in law is with the royal bank of scotland and was paid £8000 within 3 weeks of offer being made. :mad:0 -

Mine also had the PPI note removed on Wednesday (it has in fact been cancelled since April!) Maybe this does mean the current loan refunds are moving at last.
But I havent had my second refund (£12k!) yet and that is on a closed loan.......absolutely no reason for that to be delayed.
claim June 2011
offer 9th October
recalc 9th November
1st refund 24th NovemberBACS into current account0 -
Hang in there folks, i had one of my payments today, the smaller of the 2.
Timeline
claimed June
upheld Sept,
Interest calc until November 18th
1 payment today at 12
2nd payment god knows.
Very frustrating however this payment followed a call back from the ppi team.
Good luck to you all.0
