Bruce have you asked them which part of the process you're at now? Have you written to your MP? I believe the only reason I was able to escalate mine this week was because they told my MP I'd already had the money transferred when I hadn't. Might be worth a try

  • Wow! It's magic Saturday - about time!

The postman has just delivered our cheque, which we weren't expecting as they had told us they would be paying it in to our account.

Our offer letter was dated 20th September. Although I have to say that my partner refused to get off the telephone line last week, until he had spoke to a Manager. He then gave her piece of his mind and wouldn't leave the phone until she had told him that she would call him straight back once she had spoke to the payment department about our account. Which in all fairness she did, she told us that it would be with us within 14 days and thank god it was!

I have my fingers crossed from you all, and I will still be following this up with a complaint letter, they still also owe us the accrued interest caused by the delay, but one step at a time!

    Good luck everyone!

Constantly fobbed off on the phone, no reply to any email even though I have emailed 30+ times. I also don't have an open loan account and it has been paid off since 2007, I was told today that I have not even had my interest recalculated! My uphold letter was early June, offer letter with calculation 1st September but NOTHING SINCE THEN:mad::mad::mad:
I am all ready for xmas but would just like to know that the money is in the bank, and could go shopping for some bargains in January :D!

Same here mate. No recalcs letter, no apology letter.

Has anyone from the "backlog" been paid without a recalcs letter? I note Paulie has had recals letter, just makes my heart sink as we've had a big fat NOTHING since early Sept.

Doubt it. It'll probably turn into "allow 10 working days for letter to arrive", followed by "sorry your letter wasn't actually sent out but it will be now, allow 10 working days"

    repeat until bored.
