  • I have been waiting since putting in my claim on the 9th may 2011, they are just delaying big time. The Payment Section has now said it has to be recalculated. I have now emailed the Acting Chief Exc to see if that has any response. I have told them if I do not hear from them today, then i will go to my MP tomorrow and see if he can do anything. It does seem that they are just delaying, but if you decide to complain again, you will have to wait another 8 weeks. They have us all over a barrel. If anyone has any other suggestions I would be very grateful.
  • Kerri, under normal circumstances I would agree, however, I am afraid that I can't get on side with you about this. Lloyds have clearly abused this entire process with repeated lies and misinformation that people have, initially, taken as the truth. We have all been victim of the constant promises and let-downs, I honestly never believed for one minute that my claim would take even half as long as it has, having initially complained in May I fully expected resolution within six months, meaning my funds would have been returned to been returned to me in plenty of time for my OH birthday a few days ago..... I agree that relying on these funds to be back in my account within three to six weeks from the start would have been unreasonable, but not well over six months!

The daily call to Lloyds resumed today after the email fiasco yesterday...... Just for giggles I followed up to see what may have been done and guess what?? It would appear that the bare faced lies continue. I was told by "Hannah" on the 25th that I should check my account daily as MOST of my refunds had progressed to the magical "payment spreadsheet" and that the very very latest I should be paid was within 14 days, today the incredibly robotic and unhelpful "Brigette" informs me that it's just possible I will be paid by the interest calculated date, and if not I should call them to be told another load of utter lies and garbage.

In hindsight I should never have expected this money to be paid, and in reality, until
I have the sum total in hard cash and in my hands I fully expect the underhand and immoral behaviour of Lloyds TSB to continue well into 2012.

I am afraid that the sympathy I had for the call takers has been eroded massively by the attitude and total lack of sympathy from "Brigette" who I sincerely hope is reading this and ends up taking all the calls from everyone who feels like shouting and swearing and has the most unimaginable bad day at "work"..........

Im on the managers list. Woo. Now the question is, is this an "ignore" list or "sort it out" list. As i have a current loan with them im now going to call the loan department and ask for an interest free payment break as compensation for my delay in PPI refund which will at least, give me some extra christmas spending money.

good luck with that! :rotfl: :(

It's still pretty unfair if you're kids have to miss out on Christmas just because Lloyds have messed us around. This money should be used to make Christmas that little bit more magical by boosting the spending, not to rely on it. Lloyds are going to pay for us to have a nice Mr W turkey crown & gammon this year, if they don't pay us we'll have Lidl instead.... but I'm not letting them spoil my Christmas or blaming them for me not planning in the first place. Yes, they have lied to us but given that it's been 4 months now I stopped relying on them for my Christmas after the 8 weeks and made alternative plans just in case.

All I'm saying is that you should plan with what you already have and anything extra is a bonus. Don't let them ruin a magical time of year.

  • I'm going to get a job on the inside. Should easily manage to get application in, accepted, interview done and bum on seat in order to process my own claim in a timely fashion... I want to see what my account screen really says then hit the 'pay with immediate effect' button.

    Hello,

I am new to this forum and see that I am not the only individual who is frustrated with Lloyds.

I have now been waiting 129 days for my PPI Repayment.

That being said, on the 9th of November, the entire sum, totally several thousand pounds was deposited to my bank account.

The following day, within 24 hours, Lloyds TSB had withdrawn the entire sum.

I was furious when this was discovered.

I have spoken to Lloyds and complained over a dozen times, all to no avail.

It transpires that many individuals received payment on 9th of November. However, Lloyds believed that they had made a mistake and had in fact double paid individuals.

Therefore they assumes that all payees on that day had been double paid and withdraw all funds.

No investigation was completed and all individuals were tarred with the same brush.

There has been no adequate explanation from Lloyds and I have been told that I may not receive the money until after Christmas.

I have voiced my frustration but my concerns have landed on deaf ears.

How Lloyds can withdrawn money and make such a mistake is beyond comprehension.

I would be interested to know, if any other users of this forum are in the same situation.

    Kind regards.

    More lies!

I got my money on that day, it was the right sum and I spent it immediately paying off debt owed to Lloyds, they never took mine back and if they had, it would have been a lawsuit all the way.

Not sorted till after Christmas, you are right to be disgusted. Whilst the law is on their side if they pay you the wrong amount, they can take it back, but only if they can prove it was the wrong amount.

Also if it was the amount you expected (i.e. the right payment) and you spent some of it, if they take it back and this causes you to expeirience financial hardship (i.e. by making you overdrawn or unable to meet essential outgoings) they are in a very precarious position.

You could be awarded unlimited damages, a persons reputation, depending on what they do, is essentially priceless, in some professions it is gross misconduct to have an unauthorised overdraft or bounced cheque and irresponsible actions like this could cost people their job.

I gather from your account that you have not suffered such a fate but if this is widespread I would wager someone has.
