You`d think Lloyds TSB would have people working 24/7 to get people paid what they`re due & clear the backlog. They don`t seem to give a hoot public relations or attemting to salvage any reputation they had.
  • Quite simply had enough of this nonsense now, so I'm going to proceed with claiming using the following system - essentially the the small claims court.

From experience, 10 to 15 mins to fill in all the details online, papers arrive with other party, full payment arrives very soon after. Its an easy and effective system to use, just feels kind of wrong to be using against the bank, but they are leaving me no other option.

Lloyds are just messing about with peoples money, lives etc etc. Its not fair, and if it was anyone other than a bank a claim would have gone in here about 28 working days past payment due date.

Not sure if it will help anyone or if I was just lucky, but as my PPI refund appears to be running 'on time' with Lloyds I figured I would give a quick run down of my situation and a brief overview of the process I went through with them.

    Situation.
Two existing Loans and a credit card with Lloyds, only had PPI on one of the loans and this is what I was claiming for. The PPI refund will pay off one of the loans and the credit card.

    Time Line.
    Claim Started on 12th July.
    Offer letter received 30th Oct.
Called Lloyds on 31st (PPI Dep) to get an idea of timeline, had the usual 'not giving any times' response, complained about the idea that they thought they could hold onto my money indefinitely, told the person on the phone that if I hadn't received the refund by the 23rd they would received a final demand for payment letter from me, which would then be followed by court action.
Called Lloyds on 16th (PPI Dep) chasing refund, no progress.
Called Lloyds on 17th (regular customer service) making enquiries about cancelling my two existing loan direct debits and stopping paying the credit card until refund received - asked the customer service person how I would go about it, she said they would just re activate the dd payments if I cancelled them, so I said that means the only way I could do this would be to change banks and not transfer the lloyds direct debit payments across.
22nd Received interest on PPI payments, spoke to PPI dept and they said the actual refund of PPI payments had been sent to Loans Direct so that they could restructure the loan, and that the refund would then be sent from Loans Direct into my account, this could take upto 21 days.

As I say, I don't know if any of the complaints/threats made any difference what so ever or if I was just lucky, but my refund payment, while still as slow as possible, is so far running on time.

Good Luck everyone who is still battling for there money.

According to various Lloyds helpful phone operatives, those who were after the end of October are on track and everything is cool. It's only us poor idiots who made the terrible mistake of daring to claim before that that are messed up and they seem to be caring more about people that are putting in new complaints than us!

Well just made my regular call to the "unhelpful customer we don't care line" to find out the status of my claim! Despite having an offer letter on 8th September and follow up letter on 16th September saying that unpaid PPI subscription had been credited to my loan account guess what - IT HASN'T.

I spoke to a really pleasant lady who took some time in going through the claim and letters and admitted that the length of time waiting for payout was very poor and that she would then escalate this to the management team and refunds department and chase the payment. Something that has not been said to me before which I stated in the call and she apologised for that. I know others on the forum have spoken about a spreadsheet of claims that had been pending for a long time and I wonder if they were paid out after going on this spreadsheet! So I won't hold my breath.

I must admit after going from pleasant through reasonable to angry in my numerous calls to LTSB I have bit the bullet and gone back to being pleasant and nice on the phone in the hope that it might solicit some measure of sympathay and action. We can but hope!:A

Into week 18 for me now still no call back from Lloyds in 3 days. Not even a call to say no info yet. I have now sent an e-mail to them and cc in the the Financial Ombudsman. I have also contacted my local MP to ask for help and am awiting a reply from him. Also sent a letter to Mr Cameron to vent my anger as to the services we are getting from Lloyds. Don't know weather it will help but it did make me feel a little better. I'm going to given it another couple of week then I will get a solicitor involved. I would rather pay them the money to chase Lloyds as I cant be doing with the stress anymore :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

  • does anyone think that their calculation is wrong?! I think they used an external company to "help" them during august/september/october and this company did an even worse job than lloyds and messed things up, as when we called on the 12th of october about the offer letter they sent us dated the 7th it wasnt even in the system and the guy on the phone said something along the lines of another company helping them and the systems not updating properly!
  • The e mail I have been using is PPI.customer.relations@lloydstsb.co.uk

You may not get a reply but they have all been added to my account screen as "scanned documents" and have been read.... I know this as one of the many people I have spoken to on that line read one out to herself while
I was listening on the other end of the phone....... I have lost track of the working days since I complained, I think it was about 132/3 or so......... Still no money......... No surprise! :)
