No I was referring to "Withdrawing implied right of access " regarding letters for them.
I have heard some horror stories about British Gas breaking in though but we're going off-topic slightly with that.0 -

I believe that was by court order, to reconnect supplies to empty properties, after a major supply failure due to flooding around the gas main.
Not sure how water around a gas main can interrupt the gas supply?
Electricity perhaps, but gas??0 -

If you check tvlicenceresistance dot info you'll find a new video by Fishburn Hedges, the BBC's PR people. It is designed to intimidate the public into paying and includes a..................hand held device :rotfl:0

absolutely, however although I do pay income tax even though I have issues about how its spent I understand its needed and in the main pays for a number of things I do use, likewise rates which I also pay again I avail of the services these pay for so have no complaints there, but when it comes to the bbc tax that is taken from anyone who has the misfortune to own a tv which in my case uses sky only. Now on other threads I have said if I did not pay my sky subscription monthly they could and would cut off my signal and I see no reason why the bbc could not do likewise thus enabling those who wish to avail of bbc services to pay while those who do not dont see their "invaluable" programmes.0 -

There was a rumour that to save collection costs the government were going to force Sky to collect the licence fee for their subscribers as part of the user's subscription. Not sure if and when that will be happening, though. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

To be honest with this government nothing would surprise me.0 -

All you are doing is confirming your address is receiving the letters.
Better to have the letters disappear without trace.
You are right of course, but I get some satisfaction sending them back, it lets them know for sure they are wasting their time (and licence payers money).0
