It seems to be £39, I think the reason I got it cheaper (something like £20, can't really remember) was that I was migrating a NOD32 license I was already paying for.

I did much the same, as I found first ZA them Comodo caused problems with upgrades. I've now moved to Online Armor from Tall Emu which has a free version. It includes optional functionality to check on every program that starts, so that it can warn you of unwanted activity. It takes a few days for it to learn your trusted programs, but I think it is worth the extra security. You can always turn it off.

Almost an exact parallel to my experience, I've now been using Online Armor for over 3 months with no problems.
It's so simple unfussy and is a quick leaner.
The downside, it's not yet suitable for Vista.

I use Netgear wireless router with NAT firewall and also have ESET firewall and antivirus running on computer. Used to use Norton but Windows update caused all sorts of problems, back in December Xp did an update and nothing worked after that. Traced it to conflicts with Norton, had to reload everything and remove Norton (that was a right pain to get rid of - anyone else trying to do the same you need the removal tool off the Symantec website).

Also, here's a little tip: set your email program to read ALL emails in PLAIN TEXT ONLY, DO NOT ACCEPT html stuff - if there's something you want in html then click on that email and temporarily change your settings for that mail then reset after reading. Also, set your mail client to only download mail addressed to your correct address, delete everything else at the server so that it never gets to your computer. For example, if your email address is [EMAIL="joe@joe.org"]joe@joe.org[/EMAIL] and you keep getting mail to [EMAIL="fred.joe@joe.org"]fred.joe@joe.org[/EMAIL] or [EMAIL="joe.fred@joe.org"]joe.fred@joe.org[/EMAIL] (you get the idea) set your mail program to delete the unwanted stuff from the server, this way you rarely get to see any spam.

Me it has to be kaspersky internet suite plus superantispyware pro.
Tried everything else .
Best protection is a clean virus free image of your mfully working machine . Easy then to roll back to a clean working copy .

When it comes to internet and computer security i take the same view as buying cheap brake pads . They do work most of the time .


I would use comodo firewall its very good and free but they have yet to produce an AV package .
