Not sure where to look for "Bad reviews" as I don't buy any of the computer magazines.
Have a look at this review site. it suggests that once downloaded you will get bombarded with spam from the company. Let us know!

Hi,
I use Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security.
In addition I run Spybot S&D; Spyware Blaster and I have a router with a buit-in firewall.
Never had any problems :j0 -
Hi, as a nonexpert I guess my paranoia sometimes gets the best of me!!!
However 2 queries.
I run in addition to other freeware progs Norton 2005 which is due for renewal. Three prices quoted, Just to renew, upgrade to 2007 or to 2007 Plus.
All the prices are almost double PC Worlds quotes!!! Is it just me or are there differences not made clear?
2/ Just looked @ a comparison of Top 10 Progs & Shield Pro seems to come out miles ahead in cost & ease of use. Presumably it's effectiveness will be in the same level? or am I once again showing a naive tendency.

Is this just for Norton Anti Virus? If so my advice would be not to renew with Norton and go for the free version of AVG. It's an excellent program and won't cost you anything.

Eset nod32 2.7 antivirus
comodo personal firewall (best firewall out there and its Free)
ccleaner
spybot search and destroy
ad aware
and a hardware firewall built into my router
0 problems since 20040 -
I've got:
AVG 7.5
and
A wireless router with a hardware firewall on it.
I'll use Ad Aware, Spybot, Ccleaner, hijackthis, etc - if I have a problem with a machine, but don't generally install it to start with.
I have tried Zonealarm but as well as slowing things down somewhat, I think it is the biggest waste of time for the average home user.
The main problem I have with it, is that it asks people questions they don't understand. Ask your average end user :
"Fgfddfdfg.exe is trying to access the internet. Would you like to allow this?"
If they don't know what it is, what do they do?
Even those who click no, after it tries a few times, they might well click yes to stop the message.
Some times the .exe is obvious - most people could work out what iexplore.exe was after they had clicked "Internet Explorer", but often it isn't so clear.
It's far better to educate people to stop downloading so much cr*p and installing things at random.0 -
Probably a bit naive, but why do people dislike Norton sooooh much? It works!0

Apart from Agnitum I have Adaware, Spyware Bot, Avast Virus checker, Spysweeper and Secretmaker. Someone posted that Secretmaker owners bombarded him with unwanted emails, so far I have had nothing like that, touch wood.:D0 -
