    I only use updated Anti virus with security because i don't think some hack my information...
  • I use Avg free and paid for pctools and have used ccleaner which is free and has got my 4year old laptop running like new. If you buy pc pro(might be another title) mag this month you get the pc tools disc free thats worth 50 quids:j Norton will make your system run like an arthritic 3 legged shetland pony.

  • You could also try RISING ANTIVIRUS, which is totally free and is also the most widely used anti-virus tool in China (according to various reports).

    I have been using it on Vista and Windows 7 RC and it has worked perfectly to date.

    Just Google the name to find it on the official download site.

    just wondered peoples opinions on ZoneAlarm firewall (free version? I use this and Avast AV at the moment. Have always been happy with Zone Alarm, never caused problems, but I note that people now recommend Commodo etc.

    I know people state that firewalls are not needed but it gives me peace of mind and has never slowed my pc.

    Incidently does any find that when Avast updates the pc grinds to a halt? This happens even when i have it on notify rather auto update.

    Comodo has many options on their firewall :) But I cant find anywhere you can download it on there site without getting the antivirus with it :S
