I think you should stop worrying about her - it won't help your recovery and she sounds like she'll take it the wrong way whatever you say! I definitely wouldn't say you haven't planned your holiday yet - she'll not appreciate that! I don't think the text requires an answer at all.

Also, with your extended sick leave, you will only have to be in the same office as her for a few weeks......

    Hope you feel better soon!

    It gets worse!!!!!!!!!!!

She is a selfish, self-obsessed little madam. Don't reply to the text at all. You've RSVPed, what does she want? Blood? :rotfl:

Just as a follow on to this, but I've kept it in the same thread so you can follow the tale......

At work today I was asked even though I'm not going could I let her know how much I'm donating to the honeymoon fund as they are looking at honeymoon options.

It's not for another 6 months and I totally understand how they need to plan their honeymoon etc, but I really don't know how much I would give. I've never been in the position of being asked either.

    What would you say?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

    :eek::eek: She's got a nerve! :mad:

Just keep procrastinating (or say something like "It will be minimal because I have my own holiday to pay for, so don't let it affect your choice") and give her what she deserves - nowt!

No way. Tell her you have no intention of answering. How RUDE can one girl be? SHOCKING.

I just don't really know what to say. I thought along the lines of 'I haven't thought about it yet', but obviously if she's asking she will want me to think about it.

I know many people who have asked for contributions to a honeymoon, and I have wondered how they know how much to plan the honeymoon for, I didn't realise you asked.....

Seriously, she has the worst manners I have ever heard of.
Buy her a book on etiquette and tell her she would benefit from that far more.

tell her nothing being given by you as you need all the money you have for holiday spends, lol. how rude of her to ask what someone is giving, it is as bad as asking someone how much a present they brought you cost.

    This. :D

There is NO WAY I would ask people to tell me what they plan to donate to our Honeymoon fund. I'm actually slack-jawed in amazement at this girl. I feel a bit sorry for her groom tbh; what must it be like living with someone as breathtakingly self-obsessed as that??

How RUDE, I am so shocked! She should NOT be asking, I wouldnt answer her, and if she presses you, just say that you have other things to budget for and that her gift isnt high priority for you right now. She should budget for her own honeymoon and then if she gets money from guests thats a bonus.
