  • A lovely sunny hello everyone! :)

I have just potted 22p which is all that's left from this week's food budget. If I've forgotten anything we need for the weekend then it's tough luck 'cos there is no more money...:o

It's [STRIKE]been[/STRIKE] is being another tough month what with hospital parking and the parking 'fine' I have had to use my credit card to buy petrol for the first time in absolute ages today. This is not good news and ....oh crikey... I have just been informed by OH that the tanker is here with our LPG  We don't order it, it arrives periodically to top us up automatically. I dare not turn it away in case we get any more cold snaps as the level in our tank is a bit on the low side :( (mental note: make OH wear a JUMPER more often :D ) At least I won't have to pay the bill until next month.

To anyone interested, it's FREE listing this weekend on eB*y so get rummaging in those cupboards! I am borrowing a camera as mine is still bust :j
BTW sue-uu, OH couldn't remove the lense from his glasses as the screw was in sooo tight it broke the head :( He is still grumpy and is likely to be so until 2 weeks time when he (hopefully) gets his new specs (another expense.... )

    Enjoy the sun everyone! x

£4.45 just went in the pot, the cumulation of a few days' spending cash at the local Tesco and Co-op. :)

Very happy today - my little boy got his school report and it was glowing, if a little amusing (reference is made of his tendency to "daydream"!) AND he got given the weekly trophy at his judo session after school, so he's having a lovely day!
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Another having problems than, mummytogirls! We're all thinking of each other at the moment, so chin up and fingers crossed! Lovely to see you back. :)

Hi little_sweetie, how about covering up the lens he wanted to take out? If you're unsure about doing so then ask him to cover up the lens with his hand to see if he can still see out ok with the other. The trouble is specs are adjusted for both eyes looking through at the same time so his vision would probably be way off course if he only looked through the one. A bit of a b*gger I know.

Thanks for the free e-bay listing heads up, I might just have a go.

You're not alone with your rough patch, a few of us are having difficult times at present, we need to muddle through and - hope! Thinking of you both.

Great news about your little lad, Ghostlove, well done to him!!!

I hear you on the expensive school trips. DD2 has a trip to London for a week coming up and it's £750  DD1 went a couple of years back and had a brilliant time. Didn't really think about it at the time, but as we let her go, it's only fair we let the other 3 have the chance. :o

Know what you mean Saramond. We have 3 kids so they all have exactly the same too.

75 pence for the pot today. Am doing my monthly charity shop run today (ie, spending lol). Went round the ones in the town I work yesterday and found some really cool bargains - including a Per Una floaty skirt for £3.99, so very impressed with that.

Also hoping to have some money left to put in my savings account tomorrow :o)
