  • Hi Lc we drove to the Albert dock and followed the road around past the wheel and the Echo arena, right round and parked on the muliti story car park. Think it was £5 for 5 hours but we were a lot longer hence £8.

Last time I went to the World museum I parked by there as sometimes you can park outside but I couldn't get in so parked on the multi story by it. It is a fair walk from W museum to the Dock think about 20mins if I remember. Last time we went we took a picnic and had it in the park opposite.

Sure Sparky will know the best places to park though but I am not a local. We are about an hours drive away. HTH;)

a teeny tiny 2p in the pot today :(

I must say reading all you lot talking about costs of parking makes me realise just how much my blue badge saves me  If I potted the cost everytime I parked anywhere I would amount a fortune I reacon   I would do it but when my legs actually worked I always parked where it was free and made the trek to the shops :rotfl: plus I dont know what I would charge myself for double yellow line parking, dont think I could afford the £30 fine every day :rotfl:

My OH just gave me a jar of mouldy old coins he had collected when cleaning his band practice room :j:j A quick glance round the floor and I popped another 3p. Just counted it and added a whole £2.70 to my bottle :j:j and 50cents to a bag of old euros in case I ever go abroad again! Really pleased!

I was feeling a bit fed up about not being able to do any overtime this month which means I'll be really really poor in April. It just feels so annoying now that I'm (hopefully) getting better that I'll be suffering financially for another two months

I must learn to focus on the positive things. Just asked OH if I could have a scan round the floor of his van where I know there is always change and he said no. He says he may need it for parking but I bet I can persuade him that my happiness is more important :rotfl: .

On the theme of parking, when we have time we get the park and ride into town. You can park all day for £1.50 and the buses are really regular.

It's pathetic that I don't know parking in that area just asked DH and he said he hadn't a clue and couldn't remember when he went to the museum must have been when he was at school and like Sparky that wasn't as often as it should have been :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Think the nearest must be Liiverpool 1 but bet it will cost a fortune :eek:

  • Was wondering why my balance sheets didn't tot up ..... then it dawned on me that all that squirrelled away change is adding up to significant amounts over the course of a month...pleased that it's being saved, but getting a headache trying to balance the books :)

I'm a park far way and walk in kind of girl! Refused to pay parking for months :)
