well emptied the washing machine this morning and a nice clean 1p fell out of DS's trousers, he was stood next to me and tried to claim it but I reminded him of the rule 'if it goes through the machine, its mine', made him take the drying down the shed for me and then went to collect it when it had finished myself. Emptied it all out and folded it up, got up to leave and something is glinting at me from all the fluff that has been dumped in a pile on the floor from various trap cleaning times. Have a quick squint at it and realise its a 20p
Who needs road kill, my shed seems to have an endless supply of change(dont assume this means I will walk past any money I see in the street though
)

This is my 1st visit back to this web site this year - kinda went pear shaped at the end of 2011 so don't think I am on the list. Can you please give me a number?
Anyway, things are probably going to get pretty tough for 2012 so am trying to prep now to help contain the fall out - just found out I could have been claiming council tax benefit, I didn't even know it existed!

had a slight mishap with my budget. Had to swipe £20 out of my sealed pot. Will add it to my sig. Very glad it was there but still gutted i had to take some out. On the bonus side, it was only notes i took out and there were LOADS of pound coins and £2 coins.Was debt free then ex walked out and COVID hit.0

Found 2p today. However a little sad that some guy ahead of me on the way home yesterday picked up a £10 note, and bragged about it to his friend!
(Who casually drops a £10 note anyway?!)Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)

Hi all, I seem to have had an awfully expensive week for pocket money spending. I know it's half term and I do love to spend time with DD and 2 x GC but I spent almost £24 on a pizza meal for us all on Monday and although DD paid for my cinema ticket today to see the Smurfs (a great deal at £5 for 4 of us) I bought 2 ice creams for the GC, a hot choc and some mini muffins for DD and a bottle of water for myself which came to almost £12 :eek:
I had forgotten how much of a rip off the cinema prices are. Never mind we really enjoyed it. I will just have to be extra careful until the end of the month as I have just £10 and some change in my purse and £9 in my current account which has to last until the next injection of funds at the end of the month ( a whole 12 days away :eek:
On the plus side I sold an item on eB*y which netted a lovely crisp £10 note which I have banked and added to my signature :j Onward and upward!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!Sealed Pot Challenge #012
