My pot was full..... (I did start it last summer even though I only joined the challenge in January).......so I took the notes out and gave them to DH to pay off the mortgage - he nearly fell off his chair.... £500! :eek:I must admit I was amazed too.... I knew I'd popped the odd £20 note in but must have managed to do it once a week. I thought there might be £150 - incredible how it built up. :j:j:j
DH resealed with Duck tape and has signed it telling me he will quack if he sees I've raided it! :rotfl:
Starting again now - will aim for the next £500 by the November deadline.
Wanted to share my lovely surprise with you to show that little and often really builds up.:D:D
Good luck, well done and happy potting everyone.:T:T:T

Thank you everyone for all your amazing birthday wishes. I had a really great day. I love spending time with the family.
Managed to pot £19.40 today. Most of which was quidco money but I am still very pleased with myself
Have spent nearly £100 on birthday foods though
Looking like a cheap week is needed

15p last night.
I love the way this challenge helps people to save in ways that are helpful to them. I wouldn't dream of putting notes into my pot - I save those online - but it obviously works for Kylieminoag! Some people put £2 coins in their pot - I have a separate pot for mine. Some people empty their purses/wallets every night - I keep my coins for as long as possible so I don't have to go to the bank. So, I basically save £2 coins and anything less that a 50p. (Although I sometimes pot other coins on a whim). It all adds up however you do it!
Thank you to all fellow members of the Sealed Pot Challenge!!! :j0 -
Hi Sue
This is my 1st visit back to this web site this year - kinda went pear shaped at the end of 2011 so don't think I am on the list. Can you please give me a number?
Anyway, things are probably going to get pretty tough for 2012 so am trying to prep now to help contain the fall out - just found out I could have been claiming council tax benefit, I didn't even know it existed!2015 £2 Saver #82
