For some reason, whilst blitzing the kitchen today, I found 12p, so that has gone straight in the pot!Sealed Pot Challenge No 3060

Bad news lashley82, black cat, ljaneyr, and everyone else ...I got busted :rotfl:
:rotfl:...She said, "Why's there a picture of a smart price card on the desktop?" (Einstein here, had forgot to shift it to another folder, or the rubbish bin on the computer ). Next, "Is that meant to be for me...?", a mmmm sound came next with a big smirk
. As my mammy used to say, "I think you've bit of more than you can chew son" :rotfl:... I'm a little worried now, but we'll see what tomorrow brings
...
On a potting note, a glorious 2p washing machine kill...I know, I was pleased to, it's my first from the machine of doom :rotfl:.
Happy Potting everyone :j
I didn't get the chance to go to Asda so I showed the photo to my OH last night. I'm so relieved I didn't buy it - he didn't think it was that funny and wasn't impressed! I so misjudged that one!(Usually we buy each other one tasteful card and one funny one).
Whilst de-cluttering I found a tin money box. It's not that big so I think I'll count it and bank it when it's full and then keep a running total in my signature.0 -

Take care everyone:)
I am in a constant battle with the dog when I use the laptop while sitting on the sofa. I think she is annoyed that it has my attention and she doesn't so she is always "resting" her head on my arm or on the keyboard!

A very Happy Valentines day to the OHs of nu1isit? and lashley!!! :A:A Summat tells me they'll need it wished for them! You still with us, lads???!
Thanks very much for the bump, Oops. Page 3 is not good, but as the year progresses it often gets a little slower, especially at times when folk are finding saving a bit more difficult.
Good to see you still keeping saving, Deni debt-free dreamer.
It isn't just you with the buttons, curly, I did that in M!rrisons cafe once as there were several 'pennies' under a table - not! Not to worry at least it shows we won't let a chance go by, even if it was a little embarrassing as I skulked back to my cuppa!debtisgoing wrote:I realised today that the interest free period on one of my debts is running out sooner than I thought, so I've opened my sealed pot and paid it towards it. Was amazed to find that I had over £75 in it, mostly £2 and 20p coins. I've got a new sealed pot ready to start again. Although I was disappointed that I had to open it, what a relief it was to have some emergency money. So £70 updated on my signature and a few pounds in the new pot.
Wonderful news, debtisgoing! Amazing how quickly we can save. Hard at it now for Christmas eh! BTW how did you get the cash out of your sealed pot??! Glad it was there for you to help out.
Many thanks elizabunny.
So your friend has seen the light then, Rosy.......
...and your Mum too, mumof3plusoh..what an influential lot we all are. Good to hear you're keeping up with your youngsters too!
Good to see you, kerri, how's the new (or fairly new) job going?
So, another one in competition with the laptop and the dog then, Janey. Our Jessie (black Lab) always comes over to sit by me when I sit in the armchair to write to you lot. It's so lovely, but a pest when the caps go on amongst other things, but those huge brown eyes look so dolefully at me from about 8"
away, bless her! I do hope you're recovering well.
We went with the family yesterday to watch our eldest GSons battling on a Karte circuit, it was so good to watch, but such a bitterly cold wind nearly froze us all!! DH, eldest GD and I went the other side for a while to keep out of the wind and DH found a shiny 20p for me!!! Was tempted to give it to GD, but as it just wouldn't have been fair to the others GKiddies...brought it back and potted it!!! :j Our DD is hopeless with that sort of thing....ah one of these days.
It'd be hard NOT to giggle at the antics of some on here eh, Susanne?!
Oh dear nu1isit?, how does she put up with you - what did she give you?? Apart from a thick ear!
You old skinflint, jakes-mum!!! DH & I have never done Valentines...we give each other love all year round.
Have a lovely day all.Sue x

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!!!
I think the 7p card is amazing!! The only reason i let my OH buy me a card is cause he got it free from the place on martins e-mail that gave you £5. I'm very miserable i know lol
I keep forgetting to pot my pennies but i keep them in a second purse so i haven't spent anyI will make a special effort to pot them tonight. There's about ....*counts money* £8 ish...... didn't realise i had accumulated so much!!
Off shopping tonight but using my card so no more pennies from there! may treat the OH to dinner out as i have no food in the house lol
