  • Bad news lashley82, black cat, ljaneyr, and everyone else ...I got busted :rotfl: :D :rotfl:...She said, "Why's there a picture of a smart price card on the desktop?" (Einstein here, had forgot to shift it to another folder, or the rubbish bin on the computer ). Next, "Is that meant to be for me...?", a mmmm sound came next with a big smirk :p. As my mammy used to say, "I think you've bit of more than you can chew son" :rotfl:... I'm a little worried now, but we'll see what tomorrow brings :D:p:D...

On a potting note, a glorious 2p washing machine kill :p...I know, I was pleased to, it's my first from the machine of doom :rotfl:.

    Happy Potting everyone :j

I would be proud of my OH if he got me this card as it could show he is really thinking about moneysaving, however, knowing him he would have bought it really just to wind me up :rotfl:

I managed to pot a whole 9p on Saturday and 5p today :rotfl:! I have had 3 £2 coins though which is good but irritating as it makes my weekly budget run out quicker!

Have a good week everyone :D

  • I realised today that the interest free period on one of my debts is running out sooner than I thought, so I've opened my sealed pot and paid it towards it. Was amazed to find that I had over £75 in it, mostly £2 and 20p coins. I've got a new sealed pot ready to start again. Although I was disappointed that I had to open it, what a relief it was to have some emergency money. So £70 updated on my signature and a few pounds in the new pot.
    Debt 2010 £20,544.07. 2011 £9,617.63. 2012 £5,625.07.
    2013 £7,986.12
    Sealed Pot Challenge #899 2010 £173. 2011 £13. 2012 £223.

This reminds me of a store we went into last year. We spied a coin on the floor and after a little exploratory kick, realised that someone had glued it there. It was in full view of the checkout so I bet they were having great fun watching people trying to prise it up:rotfl::rotfl:

£1 in my [STRIKE]POT[/STRIKE] big cash box, now. Had to swap the pot for something more substantial so that's a good sign.

So glad you are feeling better Sue-UU. Hopefully Spring isn't too far away and maybe some sunshine if we are lucky.

Have to stop typing now because my mad bunny is jumping on the keyboard. I am eating a bowl of cereal (yes I know it's nearly bedtime, but I have a bit of a thing about cereal:o) but the rabbit has more of a thing about it:EasterBun
    Take care everyone:)

  • Forgot to say the other day. My mum laughed at me when I said I was saving all my changelast Aug. She was very impressed that I managed to save £135 in 4 months. :j Well mum and dad were round on Thurs for DD1 birthday when she said I am collecting £2 coins! I nearly choked on my coffee. She said that she had a Christmas present with a tin that had something in it and was empty. £2 coins fit into it perfectly. Think it was when I said if I saved a £1 a day for a year will have £366.

Also bought DD1 a lovely pot of wishes with her name on it. Bought it as a joke as she keeps laughing at the pot. Only cost 99p from H & B. Well she found 2p on the side that I was going to put in my road kill pot but promptly whisked it off to go in her pot saying that I was too slow. She has £2.02 since Thurs!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Glad to see that most of the family is coming round to be MSE.

Also joined the 2nd purse challenge and kids keep asking if they can buy something from my "shop". Makes a change as they usually help themselves to anything out of the other cupboards.;)

Sorry nothing to pot, see above the 2p incident. But have had a NSD so can't have it all.

    Have a great night everyone
