LC2 says we have enough for a football team and a 5 a side it's time to stop. It was sooo noisy he had football on tv with sons, SIL and GS the children were talking over that , the baby over that, myself DD and DILs over them .Then of course the little ones start moaning cos they are tired The only good thing is when they go they clean up so we can just relax!!!
Or in MR LC2 's case nod off!!!!

86p potted tonight,
Well DS did well at the North West Sportshall final in Wigan today. Didn't get a medal for 2 jumping events, just missed out on a bronze for standing long jump!..
The team won the 4 x 2 lap relay so he got a gold medal and the U13 boys won so brought the shield home for the year. U13 girls came 2nd overall, U13 boys came 1st, U15 girls came 1st, U15 boys came 2nd. The U11 girls and boys were in the morning and I believe 1 team came 1st and the other 2nd. So fantastic result overall for the club. Very well done to all the young athletes.:T:T:T:T
Prepared tea before I went so DH got up to go on nights and cooked it. Nice result all round really. Have a great night everyone.

nu1isit? I'll be buying that card for my OH (and a "proper" one)!
As I haven't had a £2 coin for a while (other challenge), I emptied the 3 £1 coins from my purse into the pot. My "sealed" pot isn't actually sealed so as the contents increase I'm concerned about the possible temptation to dip into it! I've got a terramundi-type pot for £2 coins. Any cheap but tamper-proof suggestions for a sealed pot?0 -
Crikey I've only been away for the weekend, and there's pages and pages to catch up on
So on Friday night I was walking to the Prem Inn from the station and spied something round and shiny glistening ahead of me.. could it be 10 pence? Could it?? How exciting! (I lead a sheltered life!). I snuck up on it, glanced around for competitors, picked it up... A Waitrose charity token :rotfl: Oh well. I'll put it in their pot next time I pass a Waitrose.
So I've only managed £2.56 tonight, change from a fab weekend in Portsmouth
Off to catch up on the last few pages of posts now

Only managed to pot £1.98 today.
Took myself off out yesterday costing me £40, which..... didn't really need to do, but felt very low and wanted to see some friends who I knew would cheer me up.Sealed Pot Challenge No 3060 -
So do I lashley :rotfl:
:rotfl:...I think I'd be taking my life into my hands though
....I said, "I'm tempted", not "I'm mental, and want to deprive my Valentine's Day chocolate addicted lovely, to commit Valentine's Day Rage"...But then she did get me some dodgy y fronts for Christmas as a joke...I suppose one good turn deserves another :rotfl:
:rotfl:.
Me and the DD's better get to work, on some paper, felt pen, card and glue machination instead. It's a bit more personal
....
lol i know what you mean
the thing s my missus can be a very frugal lady, in fact i do her nut in half the time
but if she knew i bought her a 7p card (and trust me she does her research) well I guess I'd be the body that Vinnie Jones does the 'staying alive' advert on
ps yes I know I got her V Day card from cardtown, and technically 0p is less than 7p....

Thanks very much, b_e_g, I'm like you not at all chatty.
Delilahh I really hope you're feeling much better after your day out yesterday, at least you made a great effort to help yourself - much to be said for that. BTW there's no such thing as "Only managed to pot £1.98" either, for a day that is very GOOD!!
Well done to the youngsters, mumof3plusoh! Even if they don't do anything athletic wise when they're older at least their getting vital exercise NOW when they need it.
nu1isit and lashley, you two are encourageable, a good laugh for us all too though, so keep it up lads. :grinheart
Better luck next time, Ruby!
Have a lovely day everyone and keep right on saving as it lifts our spirits and weighs down our pots - which has to be good.Whether it's penny or a pound it's still saved not spent.
Sue x
