    those sayings must be ages old. I only remember and so will lots of others that gay meant happy and bright etc. I still dont understand how it came about that it would be changed and who changed it?

    adouglasmhor is correct, lots of words change meaning over time. If you can really only think of one, perhaps it is time to start expanding your vocabulary?
