I don't have a link but I believe Jamie Oliver has a HM burger recipe that involves cream crackers crushed up which came from his Ministry Of Food book. HTHLaughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0

I break up cream crackers and put them in soup. Doesnn't matter if they're not as crispy as they should be.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

I've got half a box of those mixed 'biscuits for cheese' left over from Christmas, trouble is they've gone a bit stale. Any ideas? I thought about turning into crumbs and freezing but my freezer goes a bit overboard and everything gets icy, so they might just come out soggier than ever the other end....
(don't know about my freezer, everything gets icy and freezer burn, but if I turn it down then the fridge isn't cold enough. It is in the house.)
Any ideas for nice things to do with stale crackers? Or a trick to 'unstale' them?Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

A quick blast in a low oven to dry them out will 'unstale' them. I'd try 10 mins at 100 degrees, or gas mark 1 or 2Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Crumble them & use as a different topping on yoghurt, apple / berry crumbles or to add a little bit of crunch to a shepherd's pie - sprinkle on the potato.0

Cauliflower cheese with crumble topping. Crumble up the crackers and mix with some porridge oats and cheese and put on top of your cauliflower cheese - quick blast in the oven and you've a filling main course.0
