    Sending sympathy.
I've been nursing a cold for the last couple of days. Seriously thinking about whether I want to stay up to see the New Year in.

I don't intend to, unless it's by accident... For example if I start doing some writing, which I always do best at night.

It's funny, but generally midnight arrives before I have realised... On NYE it quite often seems a struggle to stay up!

Hope you feel better soon CS. How about a hot toddy to help?

Oh.. And I'm doing MG's salmon with lentils for supper (I haven't quite stuck to my meal plan as I came across some half price fillet steak a couple of days ago).

Essential thank you letters written ready to post tomorrow. Wondering whether to do the non-essentials...

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy new Year. I know I have only been here a short while but I'm impressed by the steps you are all taking both big and small to live your dreams. Looking forward to sharing next year with you all xx

The kids have decided we are going to have a "Star Wars Extravaganza" - so corn is popped and beds turned down. I shall lift them both to bed somewhere mid-way through "Return of the Jedi"

So ................. ladies it has been a pleasure, a honour and a giggle.

  • Happy New Year when it comes folks, I won't manage to stay awake that long! Enjoying the time off work and the chance to rest and browse online and take things easy.

I've downloaded dozens of free books onto the Kindle app on my laptop this afternoon, and had an easy meal this evening, used up some cooked cauli and chopped up sausages in a stir-fry with tomatoes and smoked paprika - it was surprisingly tasty. And frugal!

I'm going to have a lovely hot bath and head off to bed fairly soon - quite tired at present, so it's good just to keep on resting, and enjoy the hibernation aspect of the season.

See you all next year! I hope it's a good one for us all.
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Happy New Year to you all - hope you enjoy your evenings however you are spending them. I am not a lover of NYE and would gladly go to bed long before midnight but tonight we are having friends over so can't exactly slope off to bed.

Here is to 2012 and all it may bring to us _party_
