    so envious reading that :o

I love water but there isn't much around here, and the only place I could find that kind of peace, would involve taking a day off work and leaving DS at nursery. He does not do peace and meditation by water

Talking of work....... crickett and all the other lovely ladies on here... the Universe has provided!

I have been quiet as so busy, have been promoted at work and am now in charge of my own department and on more money. I work 4 days instead of 2 now, and we are going to "discuss" school in September re hours, etc.

Thank you for your great advice Crickett and Firewalker.

I do forget how fortunate we are sometimes and take it for granted that we live in such a remarkable place. It takes a week like the one I had to bring me back down to earth and appreciate my home, family, friends and the 'great outdoors' on my door step all the more.

Great news Aesop on the promotion :)

Uni day today, which is not so good following a very late night full of laughs last night. We realised that our last get together had actually been about a year ago which is far too long. Tired but happy this morning.

    Well done Aesop :)

Just been catching up on all the posts. Well done Lionheartedgirl and Aesop, brilliant news.
Glad the move went well GQ, enjoy your new home.
Loving the blog MG, and I have been checking everyday.
Is the routine posting getting to be a habit? Checking every morning certainly is for me, and others it seems from the numbers:cool:
Sun is out so a bit of gardening in order I think. Have a good day everyone

Well done Aesop - that is simply brilliant news. What a wonderful start to my weekend - really fired me up.

TDQ - the daily post is beginning to be a habit - except when I was poorlie - I honestly could not have switched on the computer and thought through an article for a pension.

The sun is out - and I am in the mood for some gentle cleaning - so off to fill up my squirty bottles with my HM potions LOL

Well done, Aesop; I am very, very pleased for you. I am not sure that any of the credit can be attributed to me, though - it is your actions, hard and smart work that are turning your fortunes. May this last!

Cleaning day here too MG. Good to hear you are feeling better.

Of four flights last week i had problems on ALL of them  So it's good to be home, despite the decorating chaos that greeted me  however, it does mean that upstairs is all done bar the last coat of varnish on the landing floor, and the hall is half done.

I'm only away two days this week, the cleaner is coming Tuesday, my dad staying Thurs-Sat, new spare bed being delivered Thursday and hall being finished, cousins coming for lunch Friday, taking my nephew out Sat and packing again Sun! So priorities are tidying and dealing with decorating fallout so the cleaner can clean, laundry and dry cleaning, meal planning and mowing the lawn.

I've eaten breakfast so I guess I'd better get on... Need to sort the shed to make room for the decorating stuff, then the utility room to make space to clean, then put the washing line up seeing as it's sunny...

Enjoy the sunshine while you can!

Hi all - there is a yellow thing in the sky - does anyone know what it is? It could be the sun but that can't possibly be true can it especially as Mr Rain has been in attendance for weeks now.

Fab news on the promotion Aesop. Well done to Lionheartedgirl for getting into the Conservatoire too. GQ - I am glad you are now settled in your new home. Igamogam - there is nothing like grockling in your own neighbourhood, your thinking place sounds divine:D

I got up late again today (note to self must stop reading in bed) and have decided to crack on with some online applications which I have half completed. Need to visit the dustbins too with bags of rubbish.

I may have some news on the house soon - I spoke to mum last night (making use of my free Friday night and weekend calls) and she told me that she and dad had been asked to go and see the solicitor on Wednesday. He hasnt mentioned anything about a deposit so she will ring him on Monday to find out what is what. Must admit this house purchase has been the purchase from hell due the length of time it has taken - my mum's cousin's daughter has sold a house and bought a house and moved all within 6 weeks whilst this has been going on since March:mad: Actually I think that the vendors are thick and have been too stupid to ask questions when they didnt understand, they havent asked their solicitor or ours when they have been asked a question that they didnt understand. Sheer madness.

Mine took 11 months, and I am actually dreading trying to sell it again in the future...

Hope yours is nearly sorted though x

    Hi there Matrix!

Having a good couple of days. Made some big decisions yesterday about my personal direction and some ambitions I want to achieve and spent a lot of time last night working out how I am going to do that. Also decided to do a massive clear out of my summer and winter clothes and to establish a wardrobe which has fewer clothes in it, but more for me to wear. I suspect quite a few things are going to go, but I think it is an important job. I want to feel fabulous in everything I wear, and there are some garments which make me feel dowdy, frumpy and on occasions like a trussed up turkey. I have done some judicious on line shopping as well this afternoon, to bulk out some areas of my wardrobe which are seriously lacking. That should see me sorted until next year (as in January 2013!) :D

Have a great weekend everyone. Not sure I will have time to log in tomorrow as I have Church and an extra choir rehearsal. Busy, busy, busy! :)

Uni done and the sun is still shining :) Braved the Q & A session about our assignments and glad I did as I might actually see the wood for the trees now!

House is a bombsite cos dh has been playing all day with the kids. So I am off to a party instead of tidying up after them:beer:
