Morning lovely ladies
I feel a bit like, well, Me this morning - YAy!!!
Unfortunately the rain is hammering down, but well you know what they say about Scotland. "If you don't like the weather wait 15 minutes"
Gentle putter today and making a Korma from the Curry in a Hurry paste - kids are looking forward to that and maybe it will tickle my taste-buds too.
Apart from that I shall wait and see if I need to hit the duvet again for a couple of hours this afternoon.

Raining here in the North East of E too, the one good thing about it is it meant the roads were quieter as people left for work later.
Just checked my A$da receipt online and my shopping was actually 20% cheaper than the other big ones so no money off voucher for me, boo. I would use Aldi but it's right out of the way and I have to drive passed A$da on the way home from work so it saves me petrol
The blood donor van is coming to work today and I have my appointment booked, its a year since I last gave through one reason or another so now its time to give the vampires another pint (unlike last time when I gave them a wee bit more than I should have and they all got a bit panicky).HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

Hello peeps - at the moment it is dry here but still grey. The sky is looking a bit brighter and I swear I saw an yellow ball in the sky earlier but it is now hidden behind a cloud. It is supposed to be warm today but I am wrapped up in a fleece gilet and a thicker fleece over the top:D
Today I am trying to be positive and must crack on with an online application form that I can then submit for civil service jobs - even working in a jobcentre would be great for me. Letters are being written too - I am still trying to get the wording right for vile bully's letter (I must be overthinking it as usual..sigh) but he is not getting any more money out of me. This then leaves me with two debts to pay off and when money comes through from ex then they will be gone too. This means that it will have taken me nearly a year to clear my debts althouhgh I do understand that I will have a black mark on my credit file for the next 6 years.
Need to get on with some packing too and need to look at more lightfittings on B& Q's website as mum has now seen some, I tried looking last night but my eye's were tired. I also got to thinking about carpets for the new house - the living room carpet is a vile shade of dark green with a lime green pattern, I had thought of putting up with it but if I have some money coming through then I could maybe afford to replace it with something less violent on the eyes.:D
Have a good day peeps...scurries off to do some work.0 -

Well that's it sent... fingers' crossed0 -
Came back from the library this morning to find BT Openreach doing things to cables outside the house - so the new hub is on and hurray, I'm online in my new home at last!
Just been catching up here, and my, quite a few people have been sick or tired, or sick and tired... hugs to all and I hope you're on the mend. The rest thing is very important! I spent a couple of days last week dozing inbetween bouts of unpacking. I needed to re-charge after all the activity! Pacing is SO important.
Lara, big hugs and my condolences for the loss of your gran. It sounds like she had a life well lived and the joy of family who cared for her. It still hurts when we lose our oldies, despite knowing it's inevitable
Ouch Claire, I remember my daughter running up a huge landline bill in the days when BT had a monopoly, and prior to mobiles. We kept the handset in the car, so that when we were at work, she couldn't make phone calls!
Thank you for your lovely good wishes for life in my new house. I had to go back to my old town to vote, and it felt fine. I'm so relieved to be finished with de-cluttering, though. Every time I thought I was finished, there was another load for the dump/charity shop/Freegle. One thing went missing during the move, and my reasoning is it didn't want to live in the new house. So I'm quite philosophical about it, anyway people are so much more important than things.
One thing which became quite apparent in the past 2 weeks or so is that magnifying reading glasses from Poundland are now insufficient - I had that "should have gone to Specsavers" moment more than once! So that is where I'm going tomorrow afternoon. Ah well!If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

It was a family heirloom which went missing. However, there was an unfortunate memory attached to it which made me feel sad whenever I saw it. And one of the decisions I had made with regard to this house, was that only things which had happy associations would live here! LOL! I got what I programmed for!If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
