    Just a quickie...it's a work day!

Sorry you're poorly MG. I hope the tablets take effect quickly.

Crickett - you did make me smile as I imagined lots of dynamic ladies shaking pink poms poms :p Thank you. I hope your doctor's visit is successful too.

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to post hugs and positive thoughts / messages. I'm trying to maintain a controlled front in the real world so it helped to share a little here. I'm still awaiting the outcome of possible help. Despite trying to be positive I'm not, but I just have to be patient. I've sat and mapped out plans for all the bits I can control which helps a little. I still had a bad night. The bottom line is, I don't do out of control very well! :o

Good day to all and thank you again.

Yup! its a kidney infection and I am on anti-b's.

Doctor thought I should have taken myself off to A&E yesterday .....Mmmm!! couldn't drive, Bank Holiday Buses, two kids and a three hour round trip - I pulled the duvet over my head instead.

However hoping to feel better soon now that I have some drugs t knock out the bugs.

    Off for a lie down

Get better soon MG. Hope the drugs work. And hugs and get well vibes to the other fellow poorlies.

My trip to the Docs was also successful. My anti depressant dose has been reduced and within the next 3 months I should be off it entirely. Yay! :D Am looking forward to that, let me tell you! Although the doc said he would prescribe anti-b's if i wanted them, I said will they make be better any faster, and he said no. So I said don't worry about it, I will get better on my own. If I am still feeling rubbish this time next week I will go back to him. In the meantime, I will keep dosing myself up regularly and trying to get healthy using more natural means.

Have a great day one and all!

I'd quite like to start today again. Just spent half an hour with my manager sorting some calculations out for my laptop to shut down and me lose the entire lot because Excel didn't auto save it.

OH texted me saying he was bleeding again, he'd been in more pain yesterday than he had for over a week. His surgery 3 weeks ago was to stop this, I'm not sure if its stress related due to the fact he had to go into work today to take his last 7 days sick note in (I'd posted the previous ones recorded). I'm stuck at work so can't check on him although by his last message he has gone into town at least.

Need to email my manager to book some holidays, for some reason I'm really nervous to do that which may explain why I've only used 5 days so far this year (only took 2 to move house) when I have 27 to use!

Off to go punch Excel in the face.

    Get well soon everyone.

Hugs to fellow poorlies and get well soon to us all.
I survived the morning back at work but am shattered now. So going to have a nap and then do just 1 job on my messy house:eek:kitchen I think should be the priority then I don't risk giving us something nasty:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The charity plant sale as good and I spent the grand total of £8 but have now stocked my herb bed, just need a couple of other bits. The best bit was to have an hour ME time.

Lots of poorly peeps needing tlc - make sure you look after yourselves and everything else can wait.

Been and joined a 'running' club - very much in inverted commas as I walked most of the way and they kept jogging back to make sure I and my fellow walker were ok. Have always thought of myself as a bit of a loner when it comes to exercise but actually really enjoyed the 'session' but not sure my knees will come tomorrow morning. Off to work out how far we ran/walked.

  • Big hugs to all our poorlies - hope you feel better soon, x.

Had an odd sort of a day, in and out with various errands, been really busy and don't feel I've got anywhere.

Stressful evening planned after dinner, DLA application form. been putting it off, but really must get it send in, not sure that we'll get anything for DS, but must try.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

If you need any help give us a shout.

Remember to list his bad days and 'good' days and what each is like in terms of movement or mental health etc (sorry not sure what your DS has)

Make sure you include everything even if it does not have a true category - add it at the end.

Also you can do a supporting letter (as the bit they give carers etc to complete is tiny) to explain what you have to do to help him.

If you have any doctors letters include these as well.

Hope you're getting some rest MG and that the tablets kick in quickly.

Crickett, that's good news! I read your posts and can just feel the 'happy'! The vibes from them are so different to when I first starting reading this thread.

Hope the knees are holding out this morning, Dora! I am not a runner, but I think the advice is to start off walking and then do a walk, then run sequence isn't it?

Get well soon, Robsmum and fellow poorly people. I don't know the details fallenwiccan, but hope your hubby is ok. Have you booked those holidays that you're entitled to?!

No news on the financial help, wish I hadn't asked now. I feel very uncomfortable with it all. This is what desperation does. However, a family member has offered help with a very small part of the deficit. This will at least make the figure I need to negotiate a little healthier, so I need to compose a good letter. Ringing, I think, is pointless as I can't get past the people with scripts who can't think outside the box or make decisions. The ex has finally signed all the legal paperwork. The upshot is, I slept a lot better last night and have only been awake since 5am. I feel ready to fight again.

    Hope everyone's day goes well.

    Coeeeee!!

Had three lots of anti-b's - so either the tablets or the souped up painkillers means that I got a decent nights sleep last night.

Still feel a little punchy so will try to catch up - but it did mean that I have had 4 NSD's ;)

Hopefully well on the mend now, with instructions to take it easy (not that I can think very clearly at the moment:cool:)
