Just seen on netmums, nearly new board.

"hopefully they will pay it forward and help someone too."

Netmums are encouraging people to check the wanted board and to offer the item free if they have what someone is looking for.

I have given away a printer today on my local freegle group. And went and collected some BBE 2010/2011 food from a freecycler.

I could scream - I have just had vile bully email me claiming not to have received a payment this month (I tend to pay him at the end of the month anyway and it isnt the end of the month yet). He is now threatening me with court if I fail to pay the full amount by the end of April. Alas I am not in a position to pay the full amount and still pay £1 a month either by cheque or by postal order. I have reminded him that the courts will agree with me and cannot force me to pay more than I am already. It is thanks to the Matrixettes that I have the strength to stand up to him. He can no longer harass me by phone as that phone hasnt been used for months - I refuse to charge the battery on it.

Now, I have some money coming to me - money that I was going to put towards my car, do I pay him with that money which will probably be the bulk of the debt and then struggle to pay for my car or do I stick it out at paying £1 a month. Ideally, I should pay him but if he thinks that I have more money than I actually have - he will demand more and more when I am unable to pay. What to do? BTW he is the final business debt - all other business debts have been paid. I still owe my Visa card and am on a plan with my Amex card. I do not want a CCJ as that would be awful. What would you do in this situation?

First - I would have a large gin.

Second - you are on benefits so any court case is going to get him diddly - how much is still left owing?

So I would keep paying him as before, get your car fixed and when yu get a job again sort out clearing the debt.

Blood from stone remember - and a ccj is a loooong way off

Thank you for lovely birthday wishes. BF is here to cook me nice steak and chip dinner :smileyhea and to put DD to bed so that I can then chill with a glass of wine - bliss.

  • So here we are, at the end of a horrid week off...

...and to top it all my laptop hard drive has died.

    Growl.

I'm gonna be glad to go back to work I think. (Until tomorrow when I have to go of course)

I agree Horace, don't let him bully you. £1 a month until you can afford to pay him up in full.

I owe the weasel £359 and I already have a cheque for £1 waiting to go. I think I will use the money for my car as that is necessary for visiting elderly parents (mum would kill me if she heard me referring to her as being elderly:rotfl:). I am hoping not to have a CCJ - not sure I could cope with the shame. I had intended paying him off when I was in a more stable position financially anyway. Of all the debtors I had - he has been the most vile. Anyway hex on him - I hope his stomach gives him even more gip tonight:rotfl:

Thanks Ladies - I was having a little wobble as I am not used to being in debt to this extent:(

Horace: Continue to pay him the £1 a month - he's jsut doing the usual bully tactics. Your car fund is far more important -you have elderly, frail parents and you could well need to be mobile quickly.Do not use car fund to pay this bully!

    Offer:
