Haven't you forgotten to do quality control on the cookies .A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I thought that one too -:rotfl:
I get where you are coming from Hopeful - I have a grand total of £15 per week "discretionary" spends that I am plowing into the rental rooms at the moment.
Of course when the rooms rent out - I will then have £15 plus £60 plus £80 to roll into the next project. The first roll around is the hard one isn't it?
Happy Monday everyone - what do you GET to do this week?

What do I get to do this week? - Move house! LOL. It's been a long time coming, but has worked out so well - thank you Universe!
I'll probably not get back to post here till after I'm in and have started reversing the process, ie unpacking instead of packing! I suspect there may be yet more de-cluttering when I'm faced with the reality of the downsize - but that's for another week!
This is the latest stage in a long process which started seven years ago with starting to pay off my mortgage faster, took in lodgers, continued with pouring money into necessary improvements (rotten windows replaced) and here I am, next stage of securing my future. Persistence pays off! I've done this off a part-time charity work pay packet and sheer obstinacy! LOL!If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

I know you've done the renting thing before so I'm sure you won't forget to keep back some of the rent to build up a pot to cover wear and tear and associated expenses... Any news on how the rooms are coming on and when you expect your lodgers to move in?
Have a fabulous week Groatieyou sound very excited.
This weekend I managed to sort out all my shoes and boots - two pairs to the CS and the rest cleaned/polished and returned to the correct work/non-work wardrobes. Study has had more of the stuff from the spare room moved out of it and the windows cleaned, and a bit of shredding done so is slowly getting back to normal.
No more decorating is being done for a couple of weeks, so I have a chance to get a few more things straight before the landing is finished and hall is started.
Had an exhausting day yesterday and didn't sleep well. Need to get up now and make the most of the sunshine... Work can hopefully wait until it's raining (probably won't be long given current weather conditions )0 -
Woop - I now have my car tax money all together - and still a week to go.

12 because then you don't have to worry about getting the next 6 months, in 6 months time.
You can always get a refund on your car tax if for any reason it is unused.0 -

I would buy 12 months if you can afford to. Just so you are covered and don't need to remember to tax it again!
And I let hubby do quality control on the homebaked cookies... he had done 14 hours work on Sunday, so needed a treat! :rotfl:
What am I going to get to do today? I need another day off from the grind of housekeeping and I really want to get on with the baby blanket for my friend in Canada!Oh, and I also need to learn the choral music for my upcoming concert. It is really tough and I haven't got it in my head at the moment. As I don't read music that well, I need to get it in my head sharpish!! :rotfl:
Oh and I will be reading some Shakespeare as well today in honour of the Bard's Birthday! And I am wearing red and white as it is St George's Day. (Well it is red, white and blue really, but as long as red and white are involved, then I am happy!
)
Have a great day Matrix! Oh, and Happy Birthday to Marru!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Happy Birthday Marru - we had our birthdays just one day apart. It is a good time of the year to be born I think - lovely Springtime. Now I am officially in my 30s - <weep>
Huge congrats Groatie - we will miss you while you are doing your unpacking. I hope it's everything you dreamed of and more
This week I get to start writing my next chapter.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Morning matrix ladies. I have a bit of a headache as I was late to bed attending one of DS's gigs, I don't usually go to ones on a Sunday, but some old friends were going that we hadn't seen for ages so that was an incentive.
And I love rock music and hearing the full effect of what DS has been rehearsing rather than the same five bars he has been having difficulty with over and over :rotfl:
Task for today is weekly shop then try and find a better home insurance quote than my renewal offer.
Have a good day everyone.
Forgot to day Happy birthday Marru and Lara.
And Happy St Georges Day. It is 23 years today since my DS was baptised, how quickly time flies.0
