and more to the point publicity... So how are you going to leverage it?

It has already tipped someone significant into making a decision - will reveal all on the other side as soon as it is signed and sealed.

Looking like its going to be an interesting year though - off to eat some more pikelets.

  • Box of Delights - I think it has held its magic, klfairy, enough for me to have bought it and made it a Christmas ritual. Can't understand why it hasn't been shown again on TV to new generations of children, it's so charming and well done.
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

I LOVED the Box of Delights!! It was absolutely magical on TV. Has it aged well?

Bit dated in terms of special effects but still magical all the same.

The theme by Pro Arte is one of my fave versions of The first Noel, that harp makes my skin prickle :rotfl:

Morning ladies - up and at 'em early as I had a call with the lovely French Mentor - and in the process been given a significant piece of work to complete in the next week.

So what do we need to prepare for today - Christmas baking!!!

It's one of the winter rituals isn't it? That even the "non-bakingest" of us want to rustle up a tray of mince pies or something. So first question - what are you gong to make over the holidays?

Make a list - take the list to your kitchen and go and check that you have everything you need. If not add it to your shopping list this week so that it is in stock and ready for when the inspiration strikes.

And later today DS2 and I will be making our first batch of mince pies - so check out the blog at tea time for pictures of his little treasures (before DS1 comes home and eats them all)

Now time to get ready for our day - but I am grateful I am not driving today as the roads are like sheets ice after the rain. Bbbrrrr!!!

    YAY! It's very empowering isn't it? :j:j

I like that version of 'Sisters'. I've got a playlist of songs and music that helps pick me up when I get a bit down and that's on it.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

I have some home made mincemeat in the cupboard left over from last year. I think it's still ok. I loooooove mince pies and have been putting off making them because once I start it's very hard to stop!

I want to make muffins today (the proper bread kind).

My friend is having a birthday party on Sunday called 'cakes and cava'. Yay! So I think I'll try to make these tasty lemon curd polenta cake fingers. :j

  • Hello Matrix!

Feel soooo much better today after a good night's sleep and a deep and meaningful conversation with my darling hubby. We have made a big decision to dedicate ourselves to starting a family. We have an idea of what we need to do (it is going to be tricky with some of my medical problems, so we know what we are up against) and we have given ourselves a deadline. If we have not conceived naturally by my 40th birthday (650 days), then we are going to start going down the adoption route. This is such a very exciting development, and also not a little scary. I have made a list of all the things we need to do, so stay tuned for the pitter patter of tiny cricketts! :D:D Obviously, all positive thoughts you can spare would be very gratefully received!! :D

I have this afternoon off work (hoorah!) and I am going home to write Christmas cards, wrap Christmas presents and get the house clean and tidy! :D I am really looking forward to it actually. Might put on a Christmas movie or two to encourage the festive mood!

Have a good day everyone and stay warm - it is BITTER out there.

    Lots of love and positivity!
