Oh happy day, oh happy day etc etc - dancing my way around the house (while decluttering the carp obviously) but now I have a fortnight of me-time with the icklies even though one is nearly as tall as me. Don't get me wrong other people's are nice but my two are the nicest and tonight is rugby and popcorn night, followed by two weeks of no petrol using, free as we can treats.

Obviously I will do some schoolywork but only when icklies are snoozing, snoring or zoned out on tv delights.

Just as well you plan no petrol using because at this rate there will be no petrol to be had - the panic buying around here is just bl00dy ridiculous. Living in rural splendour has many many advantages but we do need to use our cars. Was in the nearest town last night collecting DD2 from guides and planning to to my regular weekly fill up only to find and the 2 petrol stations were shut and the queue at Mr T was causing such a backup of traffic everything came to a standstill for 2 hours - MADNESS. There will be a fuel shortage because the tankers cant restock the filling stations quick enough! I guess the government will be racking in the revenues and the tanker drivers will be clocking up the overtime too!

Is a bit mad round here too - but was planning on a nice cheapy holiday time anyway and lots of walking will also help keep the weight down. Weekly weigh in today and have maintained rather than lost but still happy as will have a lot more time for exercise over the next fortnight :j

Thanks for all your help yesterday - I guess today will be baking - I think I am going to make some quiches as well which I believe I can freeze.

I would offer to send some goose eggs to people who want them but since the beginning of the week I have 2 sitting on eggs so it is a bit hairy to go in the same shed as them!!!

Maybe in a few weeks I will have some to send.
  • Morning Matrix!

Dog walked and fed, cats fed (although they have ignored it!), hubby making a cup of tea...! And all before 8am on a Saturday morning. I am utterly knackered at the moment... ended up having a 3 hour nap yesterday, and I still slept through last night!! I think it is a combination of more activity than I have been used to and the tension and stress leaving my body! :D

Unfortunately, both of my heels have decided to hurt today. All the walking has made my plantar fascitis act up. Much ouchness. However, did manage to give Dotty a good walk this morning. I am kind of hoping hubby does the other walks today though!

Right, off to have a shower and then head off to do the supermarket shop! It is all go here!! :D

Have an amazing day all of you!

Careful crickett - you know as your body lets go of all the stress you will go through a roller-coaster.

You will probably swing between hyper activity being full of energy and not having the energy to lift your head. You may find times when you are starving - and times when you can't face food. Times when emotions soar and them sink ..................... and its all about the stress hormones in your body and brain levelling themselves out. Its all normal.

Mind you - as cortisol levels fall yo may find it easer to release weight - so keep and eye and eat and drink well - your body is on your side.

I'm having a getting ready for Arran day - so washing is on, beds are stripped, bathroom is scrubbed, hoover is cleaned ready for a session, ironing pile is set up beside the board for when something good comes on the telly Handwashing gloop is made ready to wash through the kids woolly sweaters. Now I am off to get some eggs so that I do some snacky baking before the Post Office opens - Yup I have an airmail letter to send. YAY!!!!!

    Busy day at MFinthree HQ

Am sooo excited about the letter :j

Crickett - I know it's a little belated but I felt quite emotional when I read your post about handing in your resignation. Such a big, brave but completely right decision to make. We aren't always very good at thinking about ourselves as we get caught up worrying about all things financial. The best bit of the story was the fantastic support your OH gave you to make that decision.

I managed to compile a CV and wrote a supporting statement for the online post I wanted to apply for. It had to be in for yesterday afternoon, so I sat up til midnight Thurs trying to get it right!! Positive thinking now. I can't do one of the daytime shifts they want, but I could offer various alternatives.
One step at a time ;)

    Morning all,

The fuel problems here are really bad, the price of diesel has been pushed up to 152.9 at most garages because of the idiots panic buying. Can't they see that they are playing right into the governments hands - upping their income right before the new tax year and allowing a huge rise in costs without batting an eyelid
Plus I haven't been able to get out of my estate for the past three days due to the selfishness of the queuers.
If I run out of petrol, I can't work and many others are in the same predicament so I think they need to start limiting and soon.

MG it is about time that you sent that letter!:D

Today is catching up day - finishing that online application form for the NHS job (it is a jobshare at 22.5hrs a week). Must also finish the minutes and circulate them. I must do all this in between my eye drops (am bored with taking them already).

A chicken breast is thawing in the fridge for dinner tonight and I may just blag dinner at my parents' tomorrow.
