I was out all morning - that's my excuse plus I am finding it difficult to use the computer due to vision problems..grumble grumble grumble. I have some new books to read - two gardening books and some lovely Australian Woman's Weekly cookbooks which I love. I know mum will laugh because I bought one about jams & preserves and I have never made either but it is part of my life plan to become more self sufficient..maybe they will let me join the local WI if I can make a pot of jam?

Waiting for 7pm to come along so that I watch my favourite programme called Restoration The Block which is on Home Channel every night at 7pm. It was filmed last year and instead of giving 4 couples the opportunity to renovate a block of flats they have each won a delapidated house to renovate - after renovation all the properties are auctioned and the couples get the profits. I shall be looking out for some useful tips.

Must get my mum and dad some birthday pressies as it is their birthdays next week - Dad's on 6th and Mum's on 7th. I do have a lovely organic rose handcream from Neal's Yard which I got free with a magazine yestrday, plus I can get her a lovely primula plant from the hardware shop, Dad will have to have chocolate. Their cards will come from my armageddon card box.

MG - you have a store cupboard and the freezer to eat from..you will be fine.

FW... I am disappointed to discover there are no nice commuter flights from London to Sofia... to get there for 7pm I have to get a morning flight and be there for 1.30pm...

There are also no morning flights from Cyprus to London :s and my poor colleague who needs to go from Cyprus to Amsterdam looks as if he'll be spending the night at Heathrow. Unless of course the online booking system is rubbish and the travel agents can do better!

Off to pick up my fit note from the surgery, as apparently HR want it, now they've finally worked out I'm not signed off sick, just signed off part of my job...

Delurking with a question - are these quantities before or after the beans have been soaked and boiled?

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I read every day and join in with sending positive vibes to those that need them. I have been in hibernation mode with the black dog moving in for a few weeks - why?!!!!!!. :( I tell it that I have a lovely partner, great kids, a job, my health, a home, enough to eat - but he refuses to leave. However now the spiring is on its way I'm hoping he will leave soon.

My working hours (and salary) have been drastically reduced so I have 3 full days at home. I haven't been great at dealing with this 'time' and it all seems to go without me having achieved much :o (except overthinking stuff and worrying). I need to consider the positives of being at home and being 'time rich'. My hours may well increase again in September so I need to use my time now effectively.

Yesterday I wrote a timetable for my days - just to give them structure. Also arranged to accompany a friend who takes her dog for a long walk (a good hour) 3 days a week. She is going to call for me and we'll walk from mine.

My sister has recenly got into cycling and it is doing her loads of good so I have brushed the dust off my bike and decided that during the day if my trip is below 3 miles I have to cycle. At night if the trip is below 1 mile I have to cycle (or walk!!). So far did 6 miles on Wednesday and 4 miles yesterday.

Financially it is going to be tight - so have been doing the grocery challenge and shaved £50 off the monthly food bill. My debt busting has had to be reduced but its all on 0% and I still hope to clear more than the minimum pmts.

First CBT session today so feeling a bit anxious about that but hoping that it helps.

Hope everyone has a good day x

That walking and cycling should help to keep the black dog in its kennel. Well done with the food bill :)

Greenbee - can your colleague fly from Luton to Cyprus? If so, and he is in London then he needs to get a greenline bus from Victoria (to get a discounted ticket when booking seat on coach say that he is travelling with Easyjet and make up some kind of flight number). I know it sounds a bit mad but Easyjet have a link in with Greenline and their passengers get discounted travel, even the coach drivers advise passengers to say that they are flying with Easyjet even when they are not.:D Just a thought. No point in always flying from Thiefrow.

We're flying from Sofia to Athens to Cyprus... I start and finish at Heathrow as either that or Southampton are my local airport for work.

It doesn't matter whether I come back to the same one I left from as work pay for a car to drop off and pick up.

My colleague is travelling from Amsterdam and needs to get back there as he lives in the Netherlands.

These work trips are usually fairly complicated, but this one seems to be particularly so :) only one more to work out...

Back from Lancaster, I had a lovely trip. Al energised for work again which is lucky as there is *loads* to do in the next 2 - 3 weeks

It's going to be all good.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better MM. I am going to make a timetable too - good advice :) I hope the nice weather will continue. The brighter evenings and blue skies are so much nicer than cold and snow...

We are sitting here nervously waiting for our local BBC radio programme to call us to interview my daughter. Our local council, in their wisdom, are removing all of the disabled parking bays from the High Street. She is the chair of a group who campaign for fair access in and around the town so is going to put her points of view across.
