I'll join you with CBA. Have gone full speed last 16 days and today hit the wall.
But something good is coming out of this as I am slowly learning to delegate. BF is taking on my boiler trouble and talking with the landladies and managing agent and BG. And also at work I have been able to pass some stuff on to other people. Normally I would have just added it all to my list and then not coped.
But today while DD is in Beavers I am not going to go around Mr S like headless chicken. What we don't have in the house we can manage without. I shall sit down in Mr S cafe drinking tea and knitting."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Dustykitten, I hope you feel better after a right good cry. Hugs ((((( ))))))
The CBA Club - Easing off on the pressure is no bad thing, a chance to regroup and be more effective after.
Unusually I'm home for lunch on a workday - made more sense with where my home visits are this afternoon. The demolishing guy has come to take away the remnants of the shed and the compost heap, so it will be as clean as a whistle out there by the time I get back this evening. Yippee! If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Been to doc today and had it confirmed nasty flu virus anda chest infection to boot. No wonder have been feeling so bleurgh and under the weather, cooking that lot. And what weather - its missly drizzly rain here - would rather have it cold and frosty - at least the sun was out! Well have managed to deal with a couple of frogs today which has made me feel better and part of the 2012 Master Plan - "if its a 3 minute job just get on a do it". DD2 feeling crook today too - normally I would be mean and send her to school and TBH she hates beeing off - too much to catch up on puts a dent on attendance record - but today I relented! I feel a bit of CBA time coming on going to join DD2 on sofa and sometime mind numbing day time TV!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Definitely a CBA day today - have only just been able to log on after being without broadband all morning (there are times when Virgin just sucks).
I was naughty yesterday and visited the chip shop for tea and treated myself to half a chicken & a portion of chips - the remainder of both were eaten for lunch today. I actually don't mind Pinged chips:D
I had a reminder call from Chris the Health Trainer reminding me about my appointment with him at 1.30pm tomorrow. This morning I also had a call from the estate agent so I gently explained that I had yet to speak to my dad. Need to talk to OH first about a monetary settlement so at least I will have a cushion of money. I remembered to ask about the alarm box on the front of the house - it turns out that it is fake. Mind you it is so quiet in that area as it is the posh end of the street that it is more of a deterrent.
Spent morning washing up - went to use my flask yesterday after slow boiling a travel kettle and discovered that the stopper was mouldy and the flask itself smelled of mould..bleurgghh. Everything is now washed again and ship shape.0 -
CBA here too. Day off work today and I still can't think of what to do for tea. I have a cupboard and freezer full of food - but no inspiration.
I'd do the 15 minute thing but I CBA to find my timer !!!!
Big hugs to you Dusty Kitten. Its a tough day for you so tke care of yourself

Hmmm, does anyone have any ideas...
My (adult) friend is getting confirmed on Sunday, and has invited me (not exactly sure what it's about, but there we go - I will go though, because he's my friend), and my research has led to the discovery that this is usually done at the age of 12-14 and that presents should be given! (I'm not CofE, can you tell)
So... my question is, what on earth you do buy a 34 yr old male as a confirmation present?
Any ideas would be appreciated...

If you want it to be in keeping with the occasion...
'Vintage' bible/prayer book? ... frequently available in second hand bookshops
Copy of Julian of Norwich's 'Revelation of Divine Love' or 'The Cloud of Unknowing'
A St Christopher or cross if he wears jewllery
If he's planning on going to church much, a nice cushion, a pair of wooly socks, some gloves and ear muffs might be handy...0
