Finally managed to catch up after being A.W.O.L since before Christmas:eek:Had OH home since 20th December and he's finally gone back to work today.:jHope everyone had good Christmas4s and New Years - we have been surrounded by illness and trauma:eek:OH and I both fine, but it seems to have been decided that if anyone has a problem I can sort it out!

What needs sorting out is my house, ironing and everything! Through it all am keeping positive and upbeat and smiling so must be doing something right.

Off to do some 15 minutes and try to reclaim my house.
Hugs to all who need them.

Just checked out Martin on Mastermind - "good show old chap, good show" - he won BTW.

Not a chair I ever fancy sitting in ............ wonder what my specialist subject could be "rubber cauliflower" perhaps???

See in my head this is what I dream of. The reality never matches :o Snuggling up watching TV is not what DS does very often let alone muscials!

Hmmmm if I were to sit in the big chair what would my specialist subject be? The Tudors :o I'd have to do some serious revision but I loved studying Henry VII and Henry VIII for my history A Level. Was lucky enough to go to a lecture given by David Starkey, fascinating to go and listen to him :D

Hugs to you Greenbee, I hope it will all work out in the end - men are such a trial aren't they!

Horace the house looks lovely, and a garden with TWO sheds!!

Robsmum, I know what you mean having OH home since before Christmas - I fully enjoyed my first day of them back at work with a lovely walk in the park with GS, lunch with mum, and then sorting out a few practical things as well. Maybe tomorrow I will start thinking about the tip that is my house!

Hugs for Greenbee and something will be there for you Horace - My dh lost his job and was out of work for 2 years and out of the blue has had a complete career change and is now happier than he has ever been - it is out there somewhere.

Spent time sorting out lots of evul paperwork yesterday and now have 1 book of to-do's categorised into 3 basic lists for work roles which seems manageable. Have started crossing off stuff, and dating, once done and started a portfolio as am after a raise later this year so want to go armed with piles of evidence.

Must find twinks hobnob recipe - any hints as to where I can find it?

We don't use much mindmapping in school atm - any ideas where to start with 8-9 year olds and a stroppy 10 year old?

    1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown

Well daughter deposited at hospital. When we left home she got tearful because she wouldn't be seeing our cat for five days, I said I hope I get the same reaction when I say goodbye to you!! I didn't but I had a few tears, don't know why really.

I am debt free again today. Each time I get debt free, there seems to be something else to spend my money on, but the way I look at it is that if I hadn't worked so hard to pay off my debts (in two and half years!) then I wouldn't be able to buy the next thing. I am hopeful this time I can actually get some savings behind me before spending some more......
