Has anyone ever heard about this method (all new to me)
MM
Oh yes, look at THIS
DD is happier, we have been in the pub having roast for lunch and then went to the playground. She is now tucking into her tea while watching telly with BF.
I got my knitting needles and also have booked my taxi for tomorrow. Packing can wait for the morning. I have pretty much learned now what I need to take with me so can throw them quickly in.
Now the question is that even than I had no trouble getting bamboo circular needles into the plane shall I risk it with the sock needles? Perhaps not, better pack them into the suitcase.
Knitting awaits...bliss..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I was told (by checkin for Easyjet) that they will allow wooden ones but not metal ones.
I am not sure why, I am convinced that they are equally dangerous, but there we are.
Anyway, if you're gonna risk it, remember to thread a spare piece of wool through all the stitches, so that if they take the needles they don't wreck your knitting
Horace, the house sounds good to me - might as well let them "invest". If you're happy with the solutionThey do know they can't receive HB from a family member though don't they?
Grr to naughty OH's and children. Just punch him Claire
Not sure what to do this evening - i have a jumper to finish, and a bit of x-stitch. Hmm, choices choices choicesBetter make some dinner first, need some inspiration there lol...
Keep smiling, spring is on the way, hugs to those who need them xxx0 -
Thanks for the linky to the wheel - will be seeing how my wheel of life turns out later.
Hugs too - for those who need them.
I have rearranged the furniture in my dining room so will see how it works out. Need to go and sort my wardrobe and overhead cupboards out now - we don't have loft space I miss it but it stops lots of hoardingJanuary spends - £587.580 -

This is the first day I've noticed it was a bit later before it got dark.
Had a wee slump on the sofa and now finally heading for the shredder... and then a hot bath and pj's.If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

I wouldnt need HB as I wouldn't be paying rent. I have just looked at the house particulars again and it says that the house has a pantry..coolio:D I might arrange a viewing.
My Hard Times Handbook is a book that I picked up at a bush fireman's charity shop in the middle of the bush outside Canberra and it was the best $AUS3 that I ever spent:D It was written around the time of the Depression in the late 1920's/early 1930's and it contains all sorts e.g. how to make cough medicines, how to make cleaning products for the home, how to make soap (often using horrible caustic materials), how to make candles, what to have in the store cupboard and how to store it, how to cook it, hand recipes and it is all about making do and mending. It talks about groups of people joining together to buy food thus getting food cheaper. ISBN 0 17 006364 X although I do not think that it is available in the UK. This book is my bible. A lot of tips in the book have come from old timers and those that live out in the bush.0 -
Hugs to all who need them.
TMIF we went to Malta last year and loved it though we were told it is a marmite country - you love it or hate it/
Can't see your link but we stayed in Valetta and thought it was great, as we prefer city breaks really. Travel round the island by bus is easy and reasonable, though the quaint old buses are no longer in general service.
Hope you have a great time0 -

I've got daffodil bulbs peeping through the ground :eek:
So if we basically had our summer weather at Easter last year should I now expect it a month early and break out the bikini for March? :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
