Morning all - I am back from the bank and I have just gotten off the phone to my accountant who, bless her, said that I could pay half of what I owe instead of the full amount so I explained that I would pay the full amount thanks to the tax man. She has been most patient and hasn't charged me interest at all and has said that any time I need to chat about finances then I should ring her. She has said how complicated the rebate forms are from the HMRC as it is sometimes difficult to know whether they are asking for money or paying it back and she is a qualified accountant.

I am now behind on my rent thanks to the ruddy bank who have charged me £25 for the privilege - I am going to write to the Financial Ombudsman about them and as soon as I can open an account somewhere else I will close the account! FD state now that people should have an income of £1500 a month going into the account - which rules me out altogether. Still !!!! 'em!

Today, I shall be writing applications for jobs - something has to come good for me. I have been reading my Hardtimes Book and learning more things about making do and mending.

Yup! To be fair, there's not much more than what I said on the guide, but if you have to get your head round it in a short space of time, it's probably easier to have someone talk you through it while you try to have a play at the same time.

DM on t'other side and I will log off here so we don't miss each other. ;)
  • Hello, its been a long long week.

oohh, home to a very big box from Approved Foods, my first order, feels like Christmas! Waiting on DH, as DS wants to open it together...bless him.

DS loves your Armageddon cupboard MG, spent ages looking at the photos (very approving of all the couscous which he loves), and has been bugging me since about where ours is going. Best not disappoint him then :rotfl:

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

OMG Your DS has got "store cupboard envy" :rotfl:

................. and the best thing about shopping with AF - the kids play with the boxes for a week:rotfl::rotfl:

Completely out of energy - been on the phone most of the afternoon and I really need to knuckle down and Mind map a book proposal that I have promised to do.

Pick up the kids after lunch tomorrow and I have so much to do my head is spinning. One of these days and evenig without the boys will involve wine, women and song - you lot can sing? .............. can't you? Well I know Crickett can:D

Right - just pick the next thing on the list and do it, MG. Quick before MrB sets you another dare
