evilsquid- I'd love the recipe if that's okay? my bath bombs didn't turn out well this year:(

Heres the recipe! Let me know if the explanation of how I cut the cloth up isn't clear enough.

    Bath bags

    30g oats
1 tablespoon oat bran (or more oats)
Small handful of dried crushed rose petals (could change to any flower you have to hand)
10 drops lavender oil (more if you want to up to 20 drops, or use a different oil or a combination of oils if you prefer)
1 liz earle muslin cloth (can use any muslin cloth)

Fold muslin in half and half again. On the corner with no coloured cotton edging, cut a 1/4 circle out.

From cloth left, neaten each corner so the curved edges left from cutting the 1/4 circle out are now straight. This should leave you with a triangle with 2 sides edged with the coloured cotton.

Cut any sections still joining up with each neatly.

When all separated this should give you 2 large ovals from the centre and 4 “bags” from the corners.

In the bags (or centre of oval) place oats, bran and rose petals. Mix together. Add 10 drops lavender oil to each bag.

Gather the top together to seal the bag and tie a piece of cloth/ribbon round the top and knot twice.

I used the cut offs from the cloth to tie but you can use ribbon or string.

    To use:

Place in your hot bath as it is running to scent the water.

You can also use it as a scrub while in the bath. Either rub the bag over your skin OR untie the bag and rub the contents on you. It gets messy so do this when you are just ready to get out.

The cloth bags and ovals can be used over and over again, just wash them out.

If I tried that, I bet Id end up with a row of little people or just a pile of cloth bits.... :rotfl:

  • 1 UU to report: Wright Brothers Coal Tar Fragrance soap. WIBA? No, started off great but I don't think my skin agrees with it in the winter as its slightly drying.

Ins: 5 x Aqueous creams, back to my usual bath cream.

I had some INS today - though Ive only got one (HUGE - but only one ;) )set of shampoo and conditioner... Im in charge of stockings this year and have bought shampoos to go in there too... so i now have an auzzie miracle 3 minute conditioner for heat hair (cos i need to learn about my straightners!) and also a shampoo and conditioner for anti frizz... made my hair feel lovely (had to try it of course - the 3 minute thing is going in my stocking!) but dont believe what it says about smelling lovely - it smells like cats wee....

WIBA?? quite possibly - though im not at all sure about the smell. maybe I will just switch to the normal Auzzie stuff (or the one for heat) if I can cope with smelling like bubblegum.... :)

thank you for all the birthday wishes :)

had a bit of a makeup clear out and decided to throw away a few things:

avon kajalstick- this stays on for about 5 minutes before disappearing, I have used half of it
avon eyeshadow pencil- I've had this for about 3 years, I haven't used it so there's no point keeping it
avon lipstick-it's the wrong colour, no point keeping it
collection 2000 mineral powder- I've had this for 4 years I think:eek: even after using it quite a lot, it just never seems to finish!

life's too short to force myself to use makeup that I don't like :D
