Why did you need pursuading sarah?

    Find any Philosophy goodies?

OH had to persuade me as I already have some S&G under the tree and, as much as I wanted it, I didn't really need it :p

Didn't find any Philosophy - forgot to look if I'm honest :rotfl:

  • I've just read this blog post and thought I'd share it round! Its SO true!

    http://intothegloss.com/2011/12/my-skin-care-december-2011/

"Inez van Lamsweerde recently said something that got me thinking about all of the lotions and potions that I’ve been slathering on my face as of late. She was talking about her favorite products, and why she loves them, and how she is loyal to them…but then she paused and reflected, “You could have used something else and your skin would have been better, but you never know because you choose that one cream and you think it works, but you don’t know if you could have looked even better with another cream.”

AHHH BEAUTY EXISTENTIAL CRISIS!!! In me, that is. How true is this? How many half-finished jars/tubes/cans do you have in your bathroom? And, if an item runs out, do you buy the same thing again, or do you try something else? AND, if you DO look markedly better, is it from the cleanser, the toner, the serum or the lotion in your multi-step routine? Or, could it be that mask that you only use once a week. Which layer is making what difference?"

(If you all get bored over the weekend, I love the "topshelf" section of this website. It peeks into peoples bathrooms and shows their stashes.)

last time there was a freebie I had the same treatment from an SA,think we should complain! She was all smiles as she tried to sell me stuff but as soon as I said I only wanted the freebie as had bought a lot the previous week(true) she was horrible:mad:

got woken by DH needing the loo at 6 a.m then wanting me to make tea, then woken again by delivery man with box of thorntons goodies at 8.30 went back to bed hoping for a "christmas cuddle"! but DH still snoring with the cat next to him so gave up and showered /washed hair but can't dry it as would wake them up:rotfl:
got a 3 pack sample of pantene today also free coupon to try some birds eye fish so not a bad morning:)
Mr W delivered the Christmas food yesterday(all good apart from prune yogs which I sent back!) so ready for Christmas:jDS3 arrived safely but forgot the champagne he bought us for a pressie(oh well we have plenty as DH actually got a bottle from work as well as some I bought)

have a great day ladies, looking forward to my SS pressie which DH says is bound to be better than his office one!!!

2 UUs: Sensodyne Pronamel toothpaste and Corsodyl daily mouthwash.

WIBA? HGs for me, I'm afraid, but I think I may have run out of mouth wash. Boo!

But oooh, look at my total: that brings me up to 129 for the year. I need to round it off to make 130. *Looks round frantically for something to use up*

Oh, also, I realised that when I bought my mum's Christmas present from l'Occitane, they gave me 4 samples to go with them. I really shouldn't count them. But a friend gave me some things earlier in the year even though I stritly only wanted to count things I buy and I counted them, so I feel that I should. I think my theory was that if I end up being given hundreds of things so my drawers are overflowing, then it doesn't really matter if it's bought or not. Darn me and my logical mind!

Also ladies, just in case I don't get the change to pop back later, may you all have an amazing Christmas and a wonderful decluttery, usey-uppy start to the new year. I've used up tons of stuff this year, and am looking forward to using up a lot more next year, but without you lot, I never would have got this far. *Raises egg nog in salutation and wipes tear from eye with a beautifully scented hankerchief*
