I did forget to ring Bunnykins, but was on the phone for most of the evening.
I noticed two deductions from my bank account for phone/B'band providers. I had switched to Orange from BT in October, or so I thought, so wondered why BT were billing me for services Orange were now supplying.

Talking to an overseas call centre, then the UK, I got as far as the BT cancellations line before it became clear that Orange HADN'T taken over my line. I so very nearly disconnected myself. As I work from home using the phone and net, that would have been catastrophic.
TG I had the presence of mind to say 'I'm just checking - Orange are taking me over straight away, aren't they? There will be no break of service?'
No, I was leaving myself without a phone/internet provider, was the answer.... Gulp.
Profuse apologies to cancellations guy at BT for wasting his time.

Found a number to ring for Orange and the process had been stalled by a clerical error. They are supposed to be re-imbursing me the money taken from my account. I will also get some of the BT advanced line rental back.
    Oh well!

    Hi ladies,

Haven't had many UUs so that's why I've been quiet. I sent my SS out Sunday, not sure how long it'll take to arrive as at this time of year it can be a bit hit & miss. I didn't sign my name but it'll be obvious by the Swiss stamps!

    So some UUs:
Shampoo sachet, this was over a week aga and have forgotten what brand it was!
Garnier Movida hairdye: not messy, nice scent but colour a bit disappointing, nobody has noticed yet!
Then a couple of giveaways for the SS.

Hope you're all resisiting the Christmas offers ;-)

  • Hi Everyone,

Just dropped in to say a quick hi, so hi everyone

Well done on all the use ups :T Mine are going painfully slow
For all those who have brought toiletries unnecessary, i.e. without a valid reason and no, just coz you want it doesnt consistute as a valid reason, please see me after class for a good telling off.

Ok so the real reason i'm here, as its almost xmas which means the sales are close by, i'm finding it incredible hard to resist all these temptations. The other day i was trying to work out if a perfume set RRP £19 was really such a bargain at £7.50, i mean i already have 10+ bottles, do i really need another one? The answer is no, really must try and stay strong. Who's with me?

Good luck with everything ppl, have a merry christmas if i dont pop by again, looking forward to everyone's stash pics in the new year, could do a then and now session

And - my parents had a similar problem as you - a small clerical error and BT cancelled their new account, charged them £200 for cancelling while under contract and they were without phone or internet for 6 weeks while it all got sorted out

I have a small OUT/Lost/"I know it was here somewhere" :rotfl:

My BS Spiced Vanilla Handcream has gone walkabout :( It was in my handbag and I can only conclude that it's fallen out somewhere and I haven't noticed  Thankfully it only cost £1 with a free giftcard but I'm still cross. Hopefully there will be one in my stocking :p

We got an exciting email this morning - we have won a family ticket to see The Snowman at Birmingham ICC. So OH and I are going to take our two little nieces. I think OH is the most excited as we looked at getting tickets but couldn't afford them :T

    Hope everyone is well
  • Hi everyone,

I am slinking in to plant my bum firmly on the naughty step. Thanks to all who advised on my Redken lusting-after dilemma. I can now report that my moneysaving willpower just broke and I have bought the litre sized bottles via a reputable looking seller on ebay. :o

I did remember Quidco (although I'm sure it'll just be a few pence in cashback!) and am still very impressed - just under £44, free p&p - for 1 litre of shampoo and 1 litre of conditioner, which I will eeek out alongside other products in the stash and should therefore last me all of next year, if not a bit longer.

Another IN to report - I bought one of those Pitrock crystal deodorants in the supermarket yesterday. Am hoping it is a good as people say and should last a while too.

    Tonight will be taken up by 2 main activities;

1 - collecting together all my splutterers and making a sustained effort to use them up before the end of the year. I swear - when I wanted to use Liz Earle's C&P, one tube would just about last me a month. Now I want it used up, it's been spluttering for ages!!!

2 - putting together a lovely goody box which will be my toiletries for 2012. I want to have a proper budget in place, and also to once and for all figure out how long things last and how much of something I use each month etc - so based on what I think now, will go 'shopping' in my stash and put together what I think is a years worth of products for the budget I'd like to spend had I bought them in the shops today. The rest will be boxed up and put out of the way, and then my 2012 box shall be brought out with pride on new years day so I can start using all my lovely favourite things :D

Well done on your win. Hope the show is fab.

I have a UU: Bottle of Cutex Ultra Cleansing nail lacquer remover has gone. As you know though I have replaced this already. Have just pained my nails using OPI Meep Meep Meep ready for my Christmas lunch at work tomorrow.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

No more INs, just wanted to say that I have been to Boots and looked at the fcuk bag and S&G set that's going to be the OOTW and no impressed.
The fcuk bag was only reduced to £30, my store had pikes and piles of them, and I can't see them shifting. Previously the fcuk bag has been £18 and £20 I think so why it has increased to £30 is a bit of a rip off. I would maybe buy at 1/2 price but won't make a special trip.
The S&G is ok but again I have stacks of S&G I could make my own OOTW!! :rotfl:so think I'll give it a miss :p
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time
