UPDATE UPDATE - Had a call from the OR today, seemed really friendly, just outlined the circumstances that led up to the BR and the last time i used credit. I told him I use my OD regularly at thats where benefits are paid into. He understood. Lasted about 10 mins, said he would contact the creditors and I shouldn't hear no more from them unless more info is required. Said i could keep my new bank account and withdraw any funds from my current ones. I'm so glad its over before christmas he said i would be released in 12 months time. Just seen my name on the Insolvency register, nothing to proud of but glad this nightmare is coming to an end. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for there support and help during such a difficult time - thank you
Before I finish my Saga its my partners turn to visit CAB tomorrow for a DRO, i've been told she need id, proof of benefit and details of the debt, anything else???0 -
Glad things are working out Paul, well done on having the courage to deal with it.
I think that is all your partner will need to take. Proof of her incomings, proof of the outgoings and ID seems about right.

Nice one Paul, good to hear you got it sorted before chrimbo. Feels like a huge weight has been lifted doesn't it?
Let's hope 2012's a good'un for all of us eh!
Will be a month since BR in a couple of days for me. 11 more to go...0 -
Well, christmas is out the way and despite lack of presents, some nice food and games went a long way with the kids. Feels very strange having a positive balance in my new bank account, still having collection letters through the door but i guess they should slow down now. I assume the OR will be monitoring my bank account for the next 12 months, is that right?0

So pleased for you that you had a good Christmas Paul. Spending time with the family is really what it's all about, so good for you.
The OR doesn't monitor bank accounts, they just haven't the time. It's up to you to let them know of any changes up or down in your income or expenses and of course, they trust all BRs to do so.When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
