  • Mine is cooked and is now cooling, it looks a bit crusty and hard on the top though? Should I leave it or cut the top off?

    Hi Princesswoo,

Can I ask, do you mean you will get 4 x 8" cakes from one bag and if so did you bake your 4 at the same temp & time as if it was 1 cake you were baking?

ps your cakes look fab especially in your boxes :)

NO you will get 4 x 4 inch cakes from 1 bag, i baked mine a one 8 inch cake and cut into 4 so I cant comment on cooking time.

Anyone know if they're still £5?

    TIA x

They were yesterday, can't see them putting them up again as they will want to get rid of them now.

Juat found this useful link on an old thread. Really handy information and video about lining a cake tin.

I have my second cake in the oven at the moment. I have split it into two small loaf tins.

Remember the Free ones we got with Lurpak butter, a while back? They were 3 for a fiver, and each cake tin held 2 packs of lurpack. :rotfl: Also they had a 30p off coupon with them. Real bargain.

  • I bought two. Made one on Saturday and then bought another kit as they are so easy to make. If I wander into tesco later I am very tempted to get the cupcake kit if there are some.

I've checked on mysupermarket for a delivery later in the week (as tesco normally do price/offer changes on Tuesday night) and the cake mix is coming up at £5 and the cupcake mix at £2.50 still. For the people who say it's full price have they checked the price online or asked for a price check at the till ? Could it be a case of the tickets not been changed?
