Yes its the same, would have been nice to have a new design, but hey, at least they are coming into the 21st century now! Now all they need to do is make their credit cards contactless, and I'm sorted, lol!

They did have contactless a few years ago when they had maestro cards, then they took a step backwards when they switched to Visa.

Since Halifax are a part of Lloyds I expect they only give them to customers in London at the moment (which is what Lloyds are doing).

I was told on the phone by Lloyds that I could get one, I've been trying since July last year. So far they've sent me 4 new cards, none with contactless. I have given up with them.

If you call Lloyds TSB and ask to be put though to their card services (which normally deal with credit cards as banking can not do this) They will be able to reissue you are contactless card. The reordering process on the phone does take slightly longer, as they have to fill out a form while you are on the phone.

I did this last week with Lloyds TSB and in the same call got them to send me a contactless Halifax card too :) Have them both now :)

for LTSB minimum age is 18 and only avaliable in certain areas and certain accounts and since my account isn't eligible despite being in the pilot area :(

Part of that it not true. Any current account with Lloyds TSB can have the contactless card. Just been to speak with the correct department.

I just got one from HSBC as a replacement card. I'm really not happy about it. These should be opt-in only.
