What is it that is wrong with it?
my old phone just stopped working one day. I didnt even know for a couple of days as the display and everything was fine - my mom called me at work and told me! it would have cost more to get repaired, plus it gave me the nudge to get myself a new phone.
Im glad you already know that you have over-reacted!! though at least now you can tell him what you want for xmas for a change

Unfortunately Victory we live in a throw away society. So we 'have to have' the latest phone, car, computer, clothes, so anything not new is worthless to kids.
Depending on how old it is, it might not be worth repairing, but it might be an idea to look on the manufacturers website to see if it's a known problem, with a quick fix (I know sounds improbable), but a reset fixed my ipod that did the same.0 -
I have the same issue with my DD and my HP Touchpad. The thing wont turn on now at all and doesnt "blimp" when you put the charger in either, so I think that she has broken the adapter/connector bit in the pad and used the battery to within an inch of its life.
So thats £50ish for a charging dock to see if thats the case.
And all I got was "It was fine when I used it". Of course it was fine! Otherwise you wouldn't have been able to use the damn thing. Its the during and after that I am bothered with.
So I am standing in solidarity with you here. She is NEVER using my stuff again. With the exception of the bathroom....0 -
Vic I'm not defending him but if it's an old phone it's perfectly possible that it just stopped working all by itself. If he didn't 'do' anything to break it, he's hardly likely going to want to replace it. If you started on him from the get go, his reaction isn't surprising.Herman - MP for all!

Oh sure I over reacted, he riles me, he says the most ridiculous things that get me going, he shrugs his shoulders and I want to knock then off his head:rotfl: no idea what is wrong with it until I take it to the orange shop, I why me? Because son cannot be bothered as he says, so he breaks it and I take it amazing, if it is broken and costly forget it no worries ,will have to get anotherone and will he buy me one? No, will he put towards it ? No, like he said he does not care:eek:
Join the club!!
I very often feel exactly the same with my son.
His usual line if he breaks something is not 'sorry' but "I didn't do it on purpose" as if that makes it all right then!0 -
Did he know it was broken when he gave it back to you?
My old phone stopped working overnight a few months ago. It was fine when I checked it before bed & dead next morning.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0
