Taplady I bought a sonic grenade to sort my DS out! I only had to use it for 3 days and he's now getting up when I call him :D It cost me £9.99 but it was worth every penny for the frustration factor :D

I forgot to mention on Monday that I swear I bumped into another OS'er in the lift back to the car park. She was bemoaning the fact that she couldn't find Seville oranges to make marmalade :)

    Morning all.

I've been lurking for a few days but haven't managed a post.

((((hugs)))) to all who need them. It sounds as though some have had it pretty rough just lately.

It's really mild this morning - 10 degrees according to the car gauge.

Left for work at the same time as normal but the queue into town was longer so arrived 10 minutes later. I then couldn't find a parking space as some "dear person" here decided to change the parking system, do away with a designated staff parking area and allow a free for all. I spent 10 mins looking for one before finally deciding to park in my boss's reserved space (he won't be in till this aft). So I was totally stressed before I got here and to compensate I ate the biscuits that I was planning to have at teabreak.

DH is doing much better but is still finding it painful to move about too much. He's still signed off work. I came back this week full-time and I have evening class today and tomorrow. DD is also poorly today so they'll be able to look after each other.

I've sold 4 books this month on Amazon and made enough to buy a breadmaker which I ordered from Amazon yesterday. I also ordered some chocolates from the Thorntons half-price sale (there's a few birthdays coming up).

I'm doing well with the OS - have been cooking in batches and freezing. I don't need to do any shopping for next week apart from some fruit (and I intend to visit the fruiters just round the corner from work).

Oh well - back to the grindstone I suppose. Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, hope everyone is well :)

DS2 off school again, tummy still isn't right, DP off to gym this morning so he can look after him this afternoon when I go for my computer course. He's poorly but fine in himself and in little devil mode! Going to try to get him to give me a hand sorting washing upstairs.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning all,

OH has just informed me that last night he managed to delete ALL his files on my compy - apparently, he installed some software into his folder, then when he uninstalled it it deleted the whole lot. So, he can spend the day trying to recover it

Plans for today - Must do the ironing today, and a few Ebay listings as well. Make chicken/corn chowder and I might make some flapjacks. I start work tomorrow!

    Breakfast: Toast
    Lunch: Soup
Dinner: Enchiladas (we didn't have them last night)

    Have a good one

OH still not feeling to well and I'm ok (cant be bothered to moan today:o )...new cleaners arriving at 11.30 and have the list sorted:D i hope it goes ok and I like them...fingers x'd please;)

Have taken a frozen dish of spagbol sauce out for dinner tonight (HM 2 weeks ago) as dd and OH didnt want fish. They will be having Spagbol and Im having a HM ready meal of Sausage, Mash, Cabbgae and french beans. So an easy day in the cooking dpt today. Tomorrow is Shepards Pie (MATH:p ), so will double up and put one in the freezer for next week. Have aload of minced lamb in the freezer so may do a batch up and make a lasgana too to freeze:confused:

OH slept downstairs last night as he had slept through the day not being well and was snooring badly. I slept quite well, so pleased about that.

WM is on ATM and will be hung outside as its lovely here today...cold but sunny. DW has been emptied and house is tidy so the cleaners can clean:D There is dust everywhere, so it wil be nice once its all done today.

DD had a hockey match last night away and according to them "kicked !!!!!" ...I assume that means they won:confused: :rotfl: She is being quite good ATM tidying her room, but thats probably coz pocket money is due today:D

Anyway, Id best go as I need a cuppa and a biscuit-so I have the energy to [STRIKE]boss[/STRIKE] delegate when they come:p

    Good morning to all.

I'm now into my second week off work, and have finally had a really good night's sleep, only woken a few times with the coughing.

I feel reasonable enought to sit up at the computer for a decent amount of time. Trouble is, housework has been in the willing (but not awfully capable) hands of DH.

It looks as though there have been a couple of remarkable starts to the day, those that have managed a regular start also seem busy, so best wishes to all this happy Wednesday.

I lost out in an e-bay auction for the Living Better For Less Cookbook, so finally snapped & ordered it, along with some other books, from Amazon. A treat in store, as I've been really tight with my spending this month.

Can anyone believe we have already had a whole month of this year? !!!! I'm barely used to writing up 2007 with the date on the board yet.

We're still eating up the contents of the freezer.
I did an audit, typed it up (sorted by drawers) and added a tick box section to monitor what we're using, and while I've been ill DH still asks what we can have for an evening meal. Since most of the freezer is full of labelled meals I prepared ahead to either save time, or to help us cope in a crisis (like me being ill for example) I do wonder what else I could do... spoon feed it to him? We need words.

    Love to all

    Hi

A pretty quiet day here today, feel all keyed up for selling the house but nothing happening, it is early days I guess. I feel sad today for some reason, I read something last night and it really touched me.

    (((Big hugs for everyone)))
