Hugs to all that need them:A

My, it's nippy this morning! This time last week we had snow & it wasn't as cold as this!

We're off to mother & toddler group this morning so that Spud can play & I can have grown up conversation....about children probably! Then later on I am collecting a freecycle trike for Spud:T then off to aquasize with my friend:eek: Haven't been in years so no doubt will be a exhausted half-drowned heap by the end of it!:o

Somehow don't think I am going to get much housework done in between all of this & feeding Spud etc so I think dinner tonightmight be beans on toast:p

    Have a fab day everyone:T

Morning all and hugs to whoever needs them
Kethry where is your OH's family in the netherlands - my Ddad is over this week. He lives in Beverwijk but is in the middle of moving to Heiloo(sp?). My dsis is also here from Toronto
My visitors went to see my dbro last night and are there tonight as well. I couldn't go because of some comitments today so I had a virtual party here while they texted and msn'ed me all evening. My dssis is going to see our Mother on Thursday but she's the only one in the family that still keeps in touch with her - somehow she's easier to get on with if you live thousands of miles away! We'll all be back together on Thursday evening for the rest of the week :D
Plans for today are to get the house back in order, make lots of bread (there wasn't any this morning so 10yodd has taken cheese and crackers instead - bad mother ain't i :o ), phone the community health team to start the process for dd's hearing aid and generally make myself useful - have a good day:D

  • Hi all, just a quicky before I go to w**k, so glad I can say that, have taken some chicken out of freezer so have to think of what to do with them tonight.

Plan to chill a bit this afternoon.

Hugs to kethry and to anyone else who needs them.

    Morning all.

At least my barium enema is now over and all I need to be concerned about is the results!!!!

Have e-mailed my boss about a return to work and I'm hoping he will discuss it with the Head. I am concerned about coping with certain aspects of the job eg doing On Call. That is tearing around the school, removing disruptive pupils and escorting them to isolation. Its extremely tiring and I'n not sure I can cope with that yet. Have also asked him about my classes as I will need to know where they are up to, so I can plan my lessons. Unfortunately with teaching you can't just go back, you need all the lessons sorted before hand.
Hopefully he will contact me later today.

Going to concentrate on household paperwork today and get all that sorted. Filing cabinets are in the conservatory so I just need to wait for the sun to warm that up a bit and I can start.

    Time for breakki, I think....
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

    Morning everyone :hello:

((hug)) to everyone who needs one, sounds like there are a few people having a difficult time at the moment :(

Had a good day yesterday, made my fish pies and they are lovely - the fish from the stall was so much beter than what we've had from the supermarket. Made the invitations for DS2's birthday party and his thanksgiving service - used some cute rubber stamps I got in the sale for £2 :) Then sat in bed and sewed buttons on DH's trousers - it's a glamorous life!

Plans today - dust and hoover the living room, then off to mums and toddlers (snap Lillibet) and hopefully have some friends over for a coffee afterwards. More cleaning while DS2 sleeps, and Riverford are bringing our veg box :)

    Enjoy your day everyone!

    Morning all :hello:

Having a slow start to the day as I'm back in court for jury service at 10:15.

kethry - what a scary night! I think it was SnowyOwl who was askinig after you recently, by the way.

Penny-Pincher!! - I hope you and OH are feeling better today.

Aaaaargh my email address is not working  I cancelled my old dialup account with Orange (ex Freeserve) recently, and they specifically told me that my email address would not be affected as I would just revert to being a "pay as you go" customer. However it would appear that because I haven't actually USED the dialup number for PAYG for over 90 days, my email has been suspended  The customer service lady says she has reactivated it, but it's currently still not working (she said to give it 20 minutes and try again) - and apparently I need to dial up at least once every 90 days to keep it working! This seems very odd as I sign into my email account on their website often enough, so they can see I'm still an active user... I don't even HAVE a working dialup modem so won't be able to do the "token sign-in" once every 90 days, and it looks like I will need to find a new email address sometime soon, even when they get it going again! I must have literally thousands of things registered with this email address...

    AAAAAAAAAAAArgh.

    Must go and get sorted

    Rzl xx

  • Good morning everyone. Hugs for all who are going through bad times.
It's wet and windy here this morning so not planning on going out. I need to do the month end accounts for the business which I hate and plenty of housework. Cat is sucking my jumper at the mo which is making it difficult to type. She really thinks I'm her mum, I only which all my children were as quiet and clean as she is:rolleyes:
Other jobs for today. Phone council re my missing compost bin and arrange pick up of wormery from freecycle on Friday. Put yesterdays ironing away, deep clean our room and bathroom and cook. FIL brought me 2 reduced chicken from Mr T Yesterday so I need to cook them both as freezer is full.
Also need to organise present box as I got tons of bargains yesterday. Got £50 worth of smellies from Boots for £5:D and lots of cheap toys in Tesco. Their Ella doll (fake Barbie) is reduced to 45p and all the little outfits are 19p. I got 1 doll and 3 outfits each for irthday presents for the girls friends. Each prezzie cost me £1.03.:D Lots of other stuff really cheap so I was very pleased. Sometimes I feel really mean giving presents that were so cheap but money is always tight so I'm hoping no one will notice.
That's all folks. I'm off to do some work.
