Evening all,
haven't had a chance to be on the computer much recently, so sorry if I've missed anything - *hugs* to everyone who needs them!
Work has been quiet so far this week, as most students are having a break. Enough coming in to keep me company though, and it does mean that I'm getting a lot of tidying done (at least in work - not saying anything about the house!) Finished the covers I was making for twink, so trying to think of what to do next, while reading the books kyle gave me at the weekendDoing the usual at home - general tidying; wm etc. Was going to make lasagne but didn't get around to it so have frozen the mince until the weekend and I'll do it then. Quite fancy doing some baking too so must have a think about what to make.
Really enjoying seeing everyones pics - I'm rather camera shy (picture phobic, thats me!) so not sure if I'll add one of myself (and not sure if I'd subject you all to it anyway)I'll maybe see later... you all look really great
*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please :j0 -
Its been great looking at the pics on who's who.
Its amazing how you picture people and they look so different. No comment ref MATH ! (can feel a hot flush coming on!) - OH sitting here in the same room as me, so best be carefull !!! *Quick scroll down*
For those interested in a NORTH MEET - any suggestions of location? and Roughly when?
Week ends is best for me! but Im open to offers (well - within reason) IYSWIM -
It was nice of OH's sister to visit, but really threw me out of my evening schedule! Think Im sorted now, just got uniforms to iron.
I briefly spoke to the FIL earlier, thanks to todays technology, and having phones/tv's by patients bed, my ex gave me the number, so I rung him, didn't speak much as the kids wanted to chat! So I let them have their glory with him. He sounds ok and quite positive.
Anyway, calling it a night soon
Take care all
Love as usual

Kethry - glad door is a bit more secure - sooner the bloke upstairs is gone and a good tenant in there the better. Have your heard him about tonight?
Roz - you do have to weigh up the options. Maybe an outlay now will be a good investment. The way this country is going with employment law etc, there could be good jobs out there for those with the quals in HR. I did an HNC through work a few years ago (I only had one 'O' level when I left school (as they were called in those days!) but loads of common sense and experience. If I hadn't done that I would not qualify for any further career moves. Mind you, I am now not bothered! I do my job well, pick up the salary - have worked really hard to achieve that. Do you know that when I did Commercial at school my teacher told me I was only fit for Woolies counter because I couldn't master shorthand. Was a wiz at audio though! (all girl's snobby school). I went on and achieved so well and was secretary to one of the top blokes in Scotland before I had the kids. I have this niggling feeling I would have loved to rub her nose in the s@@@! Probably earned more than her at that time and having a friendly relationship with people you see on the news daily was a bonus. They are lovely in private but OMG on tv! You think - did they just ask me how I was, what doing at weekend, how cold is, have you managed to get new car when write off!!!
Forgot to say I had DD and DGSs for a quick two hours for their tea yesterday. A real bonus and the havoc after being here so short a time - well I love them
There are Killer Whales in the River Forth just now and DH desperate to see them - he is off on a mission tomorrow!

Things seem so much better for you now. Glad you spoke to him and the kids. As you have already pointed out, he is their Grandad!

With reference to my rant last night (thanks for the PMs by the way and not you at all - I think/hope got that over) the person I think I have rumbled has been relatively quiet today!
Just one or two fairly general posts on various forums.
You lot are great, Math - whooooooooo - wish I was 20 years younger! (Make that 30 and I will be a toy girl!!!!)
Love GB (I am getting maudlin the more tired I become?)
PS DH watching footie downstairs with pal (and beer) - for those in Scotland it is the green team at (ugh) Tynecastle! 1-0 the boys at the moment!
I am trying hard not to sleep too soon because I will wake about 5.00 and then it makes a huge day for me.
Waiting to hear if we have boys for sleepover this weekend - I think so considering how poorly DD and how much SIL had to do last weekend.
By the way, noticed a definite bump yesterday and considering 19 week scan next Friday I would hope so. No siccies for a week now. Dare I hope for a DGD as this one so different? No, I will love whoever we have so long as we have a healthy baby!

Right you lot, just had to say. Not the usual suspects and usually regular peeps I had a problem with last night. Really appreciate your pms and replied. Also an odd e-mail or two!
I think I know the genuine ones, I have been there and done it. You are doing a fab job. I really hope I haven't added to anyone's troubles! Apologies if I gave you extra worries!
Update of footie score - not looking good - one all! I think I will go to bed.

a friend of his came in earlier, someone we know, and we told him what had happened.. OH spoke to the bloke upstairs but he claimed not to know what it was about, which may actually be believeable, when OH spoke to him at 3am, he was absolutely out of his head on alcohol, so it is possible that he just doesn't remember. or that he is faking the not remembering so he doesn't have to face up to what he's done.
and yes, i quite agree. the sooner he's gone, the better!!!
thanks, sweetie!
