Good afternoon everybody :hello:
Back from the day's jury service, unlike last week I did actually get put on a case within about half an hour of arriving - just as I and others had started doing a big jigsaw puzzle
Case is still ongoing so can't say anything about it, though it seems pretty simple and should be over by lunchtime tomorrow :j :j
dlb thanks for the PM
moggins you minx! Though if you could just clarify something... did you mean you returned to cleaning out the cupboard 30 mins later, or that you finished clearing it out 30 mins later - I'd think decluttering a cupboard might take about 28 or 29 minutes     :rotfl: :rotfl:
MATH yep, you are quite hunky actually
Loubee, has it been confirmed yet that you definitely got the flat?
seroxat-chick sorry they couldn't be any more definite, still at least no more chemo right now eh? (If they thought there was anything to be really worried about, wouldn't they be pumping you full of the stuff right now?)
Crazychik, that's fab news about XFIL :T
Angelselondon, let me know how that WI meeting goes, I was wondering only recently whether there was such a thing as a WI group aimed at the non-ancient population of London! (I was wondering this while watching a BBC2 documentary a few months ago about the origins of "Jerusalem". Did you see it?)
Penny-Pincher!! - honestly!I don't know who is worse, you or MATH
I seem to recall that when you were in hospital last year, your husband came on here with a progress report, and MATH was the one who, when they let you out, grassed us all up to you for flirting with your husband
Hmmmmmm.... next time Mr PP comes on here is he fair game
...speaking of which, if you wanted to put a decent piccy of yourself on the Who's Who thread, I think the one you have on your MSN profile is a lovely picture (you both look nice AND you look like a lovely couple!) so how about that one
Anyway see you all later

Moggins:eek: You Jezzebel:D I hope you made some half-hearted attempt to flit him away with your microfibre cloths. He'll be 'interfearing':kisses3:
:kisses2: with your OS duties everyday now you've given him some encouragement (if you're lucky) :rotfl: There'll not be much bread making at Chez Moggins from now on I can see, but if you're not careful there may be a bun in the oven:eek:
Bargain Rzl - It was my duty to protect Mr PP. He's an innocent on the OS board and had no idea that he was entering a den of vinegar soaked, man-crazy womenfolk. My Mother warned me about women who 'invite the milkman in' but Mr PP may not be so worldly-wise. You lot would have been buffing up his crevices with a damp cloth before he could cry for help. Hygene standards around here may be high but Moggins 'love in the afternoon' shockers is proof positive that morals are not:eek::rotfl:
You lot crack me up. I don't know whether I should be flattered that you think me, younger, slimmer, and better looking than you thought I was, or if I should be concerned that my daily blatherings on this board promote me as an aged, overweight, crone:eek: :rotfl:

I was just about to post my appreciative comment re MATH's phsyique too, I'd better not now! (where is the sticking your tongue out smiley when you want one?)
And it was not a nooner! It was 11am (don't know what that makes it) DH and I are ships that pass in the night because of his shifts. A girl has to take it where she can get it you know
And it just goes to show! There I post about all the wonderful bargains I picked up today and what does everyone's eyes light on, you wonderfully wicked lot
P.s. Math, I got him fixed years agoNo more little mogginses here thank you very much.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Afternoon Chums ,
had a good day/bad day today. Good day thing was finally got booked up to go to Disneyland Paris with my clever little grandson Ben.He passed his 11+ with flying colours so Granny is going to spoil him a bit for three days in March.
I have just got home from telling him it's all sytems go and he has a grin the width of Texas. The bad thing was yesterday afternoon my granddaughter (His sister) had an accident at school and her weak ankle which she sprained just before Christmas gave way on her again, and she is now in plaster as it finally broke .
I feel so sorry for her as she has just got the lead in her Saturday afternoon drama school's next production in May, and unless her ankle heals by then she will be out. She was so excited last week to get the lead as she hasn't being going there for very long .
So I have one grandchild smiling fit to burst, and the other one looking very down in the mouth. I shall have to think up a treat for her, as she is already bored sitting around at home . Apart from that I have had a pretty good day.
I'm off on a Ghosthunt on Saturday night in Essex with my youngest DD so I must remember to find my thermos flasks as we will need lots of coffee as it starts at 11.15.p.m. and doesn't finish until around 6.00.a.m. !! I must be mad to have agreed to it . But it's something different, and I'm always up for new experiences.
I have a feeling that Sunday will be a duvet day as I will be trying to catch up on my lost night's sleep.
I had my old friend from dartford down yesterday for the day and made a HUGE beef & mushroon stew and I have enough left over for tonight's supper .I think I even have some HM rolls left as well, so I'm off now to have a forage around, and nuke the stew, and to put my feet up for awhile .have a good evening everyone and (((hugs))) to those in need
P.S. Tilly Grace is doing well and a smidgin under 5lbs now. Mum and family are all delighted with her progress.0 -

Good evening everyone :hello:
I've just finished 2.5 days at a LOVELY school. Really friendly and helpful parallel class teacher/deputy head, really lovely children, really lovely teaching assistants and tea and coffee practically on tap! I did drop really unsubtle hints that if they ever wanted me again, then to just ask for me through the agency!
I'm in another school tomorrow, but I've never been to it before. I'd better look at it's most recent Ofsted report and double check that the agency aren't lying to me by saying that it's lovely.... I'm booked into yet another school on Friday, but this is where my friend works and I'm actually covering her class. They asked for me specifically, which is nice!
I've got shed loads of ironing to be getting on with, but I also need to put another load in! It seems to be the story of my life!
Beef casserole is currently in the oven and DH has just phoned to say that he's leaving work, so he should be back at 7.30pm, just in time to enjoy it!
Better go and have a quick look around the rest of the site.
Vicky

OMG I don't believe it, it's taken so long to get someone to check the sewerage drains they think the damage will now require complete digging up from my garden through to next doors. Next door currently empty. Where the pond was built (last year) is within the area that will need digging up! They are bringing camera to put down in next few weeks to assess.
Worse bit still is the work if needed will probably be done in the summer hols
poor kids will be stuck inside all the time.
One day I might be more organised...........
