Just to let you know that the Citibank referral scheme has been updated. This has probably been posted elsewhere but if not:

If the person you recommend chooses to open a Citibank Plus or Citibank Access current account and deposit their monthly salary into the new account, you can both choose from a fantastic reward selection including:
    • 6 bottles of wine
    • 12 month magazine subscription to one of a variety of titles
    • a free golf lesson with a club professional at one of 20 venues
    • a luxurious facial at a wide range of treatment salons among other specially selected gifts

Worst bank I have ever been with - Call centre is a joke and I think you get put through to the local nursery as thats about their IQ

I do not like their call centre (thank God it is free because it takes forever to explain a complicated situation). I tend to rely on the secure messaging facility and normally receive a reply in a few hours which is grand for me.

each to there own, I have been lucky enough to have been able to understand the people at the call center's, I think some of them speak better english than half the population of england,

Have to say , i haven't found the call centres a problem at all , and i must say that the staff i have spoken to have been very polite and courteous....a very pleasant change from natwest i can tell you !! And yes , i find the messaging service good too , with a reasonable wait for a reply. I think , on the whole we're really happy with citi...but then again , this is a bank that were prepared to give us a full current account when no other would...so i may be a teensy bit biased

A company can't respect their customers much if they are trying to save money by using overseas call centres....
  • Quick Q as I am being thick at the moment, that is what a 6000 word assignment does for you!

Paying in cheques....how long does it take
    a) over the counter at Lloyds
    b) by post

Got a cheque I want to go into Citi, not sure of the best option.

    Cheers,
