Can I pay money from my abbey account into my citibank account online?
I had a look at abbey and there is a option to send funds to someone else ..
the form asks for the following info:
Their account number (I assume that's my citibank account number?)
Their sort code (my sort code?)
Their reference (what's this ?)
Payment amount.
I'm a bit of a nervous nelly when it comes to online banking
Hey
Nothing to be nervous about
You need your Citi account number and sortcode - The ref is just there if you want to put anything in Ie Your name, Money I borrowed etc. You can also leave it blankIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -
Has anyone applied for the overdraft and been declined/accepted?0

I was declined because I did not meet "their score". This means I have yet to pay in £1500 a month. I have to do that for 3 months to meet "their score"0 -
It has nothing to so with paying in £1500 a month, their score is actually about your credit score as I have paid in over £1500 for six months and they told me that I don't qualify.0

overdrafts,
it seem's not everything is black and white, but I am sure that all those who did/do qaulify for the overdraft will tell all soon, unless no one has got one, umm make's me wonder if it's just a roe to get us to take out there account's ,although I am totally satisfied with mine, and don't actually want an overdraft, so it doesn't bother me, but for those who do want one, it would be nice if anyone who has actually got an overdraft with citi, tell us how you managed it,
thanks
all the best

I don't know why certain people were going on about
"not another citi thread"
when all I see nowadays is
"halifax"
of which I am a new member of but think I may have gone to the wrong bank there,
although my account is only going to be used as a saving's account
unless thing's go pear shaped with citi,
although I am usually quite good at managing my account, or so my bank manager at barclay's said,
but still wouldn't give me a current account with all the privalege's
it's there loss,
as I now love citi,
and wouldn't do anything to spoil that account,
or give them reason to think I am not they kind of person,
anyway,
citi rule's for me,
boo halifax

Cw I have to agree with you 100% on this one, People think the Halifax is the best at this and that. However I ask a few things? How come the HBOS Plc would give there loyal customers *16yrs* a current account, why do they charge for telephone banking, Why do they treat customers with a Electron card different from any other customer, Why do they have the highest bank charges?
I could go on and on and on with this list.
However just to sum up HBOS Vs Citi
Citi - Free Telephone Banking
Treats customer as an individual rather than a number
Citi dont refuse everyone just because they have missed the odd bill payment.
